The controversy generated by Obaseki and Oshiomole camps of APC in Edo seems to have gotten us fixated on the APC in Edo, ignoring other parties, their candidates and the strengths of those candidates.

With the ongoing war between the APC factions in the state, the party has been warned against gifting the state to the opposition party. But the question is who is most likely to benefit from the flipflop of the APC?

So, guys in Edo and those most familiar with Edo politics should help educate and enlighten us.

Or are all good candidates only in APC?

The only party that could have been able to challenge APC for the gubernatorial election in Edo state is PDP but the PDP is like a non existing party in Edo state & I don't think they have any candidate to challenge that of APC except Honourable Ogbeide Ihama.

Because it's unlikely Obaseki would decamp to PDP if he looses APC primary since there could be some legal hurdles to that, considering he didn't even buy the PDP form.

It will still be difficult because Nigerians hardly do protest voting because we are good at sticking with the party that we like whether their candidate is good or not.

u don't really knw the politics of edo state, there's never a time APC won in edo since edo lost appetite in oshiomole lies and deceit..... everyone is concentrating on APC internal crisis doesn't mean we are supporting APC in edo but because enemy of my enemy is my friend principle and PDP are just quiet cos Dey don't knw where the ball will stop, dey will definitely negotiate with obaseki if e loose out in the primary to collide his structure with theirs cos obaseki followers can never port to oshiomole camp easily and the other way round if it's Ize iyamu lost out.... PDP will still work with any of the looser and so PDP are not criticizing any of the contestants so dey will not come back to their vomits wen dey later strike a deal after primary's...... everything na calculations and trust me, PDP are very strong and working behind the media cos my dad is one of ihama coordinators in one of the local govt in edo state and even in oshiomole district!!

yes full PDP blood and I supported Buhari in 2015 election which I'm still regretting, edo indigene hardly vote according to political parties and that's why PDP have two out of the three senators in edo and it was the use of heavy rigging machines that deliver one senator for oshiomole which is also my senatorial district....
