Interestingly the company released the unaudited figures late January and the profit after tax of 40b was stated in the report. What was not clear that time became clearer when the audited figures became public. It is not about someone being an enemy or not. Trades like this always end in tears for some people. If you are trading this stock with just 10% of your portfolio there is no problem but if you choose to plunge the whole portfolio into this boat. I do not know what I need to say to you Ma. If you are inside, please relax 35k to 40k is not far.

N.B
I am not in the boat and I do not plan to board it.

UACPROP is nothing...after unbundling price may fall

but for me the value is in UACREIT and getting it cheaper through UACN
You get it cheaper through UPDC REIT. UACN might ended as a trap. Is like one buying stock of #5 per a unit from primary market (IPO) waiting for his or her certificate to come out or be credited, while waiting he sees the price of that stock moves from #5 to #10, only for him to see the same stock dropping to #2 by the time he got his/ her certificate.

UACN now owns close to 94% of UPDC Reits. I cannot remember where I read an article that quoted this % of the shareholding. The best bet will be the UACN route.

If you read the research by Cardinal Stone on UACN it presents the worst case scenario in play...with that I think I am comfortable with this investment.

This price range has held and provides a good support

94% of UAC PROPERTY not REIT, while UAC PROPERTY own 50% of REIT. That's why they will be allotted 6 units of UAC property per a share and half of REIT per a share holding.

I ask this question last time no one answers it
What is a fair value price of stock with EPS of
1. Negative earning of - 612 kobo × 6 = -3672 kobo
2. stock with EPs of 96 kobo
3. Stock of EPs of 32 kobo

All in one?

Sometimes its not just about fair price...else Guinness should be trading below N15 now and many other stocks. Market does not just look a fair price

When we calculated fair value of GTB as N22-25 here, was same time gtb hit above N40. I dont just follow fair value other factors come into play

I know there's negative sentiment towards JAPAULOIL in this forum so it's not that new.
The same BUA they said will trade below 10 or thereabout upon listing is still standing strong over N30 till now.
End will justify the means, we're watching.

But what value investors is looking at including such, and possibility of getting positive return earning yearly. Its only jijo groups that take advantage of forward looking statement.

Not disputing that.
We should however try to know the rationale behind the profit declared instead.
We should seek for more info on what's happening, what informs the sudden profitability status, is anything brewing in terms of acquisition, sell off, etc.
It will help us much better than just bad-mouthing a stock.

I hope this forum is not fast losing out on value to sentiments in terms of quality information.
No wonder we are losing the gurus.....because if they research and come out with their findings self, we are ready to attack them.
In the past people would have been curious about what is happening in JP and Neimeth.....and would have commenced research so that members can benefit should there be goodies brewing.

Till now, no one can tell us what is driving Neimeth....it's only prediction comes true.

Anyway, I rest my case. grin

What happened to Japaul is detailed in the FS just released on the NSE? The company was exposed to Diamond Bank to several millions of dollars and this has remained unpaid for a while. Access Bank after the merger took over these liabilities, and just like everyone knows, the managers of Access Bank are not jokers when it comes to recovery of loan liabilities. They set the machinery in motion and quickly brought the matter to a close. Assets were disposed and the proceeds have been used to reduce their exposure to the Access bank.
The Japaul House beside LCCI Building on Nurudeen Olowopopo road close to Otedola Bridge on Lagos -Ibadan expressway was part of the assets disposed of. What business is the company currently involved in? Na dredging dem they do now. Vessels and the rest Oil and gas assets have been sold too.

Madam, you seem to like these kind of penny stocks alot. They are very risky stocks. It could do you serious damage.

How can a company have a revenue of around N750m and product a profit of N40b?

You are meant to be the one adding yourself these questions?

The next question you should ask if come next year or 2 years time, is this profit sustainable?

Most of you don't know that a stock at 20kobo can be more expensive than Dangote at N140.

It is not bad-mouthing. But you failed to have asked the relevant questions.

If you have been investing in such companies and escaping before a slide in share prices doesn't mean you are a smart investor. It simply means you had been lucky.

Japaul can go higher than current price or fall back to 20kobo but don't say people are bad-mouthing. Just be responsible for your action.

There is nothing in my view driving Neimeth. I posted the latest figure released by the company sometimes last week. Q2 results of the company. The gave a bonus of 1 to 10 2 years ago or last year. They are trying to come out of the woods.

Everyone knows Neimeth is in the pharmaceutical sector and covid19 news is helping the sector.

Have you been in a stock that tied down your funds for more than 5 years? You can't exit because the stock hardly sells more than 200K units in a day. And that is how it will be selling lower till it hit 20kobo.

Examples are Japaul, Insurance stocks etc.

That is why no matter the result they release, people are not interested to analyze it. Because they lost money.

So if you must be a good investor, keep your emotions aside and look at facts.

What if the stock starts full bid inspite of the badmouthing? What will you say again?

I noticed that most people look at the number of units their money can buy and so they delve into buying stocks like Japaul and 20kobo insurance. The challenge you will have is selling such stocks. If you have millions of it, you can only sell in a very full bid.

Unlike some sectors where there is transaction at any price.
