Slayyy001: Why that course? Anyways try your hands on Google first. Get some options then the house may advice you on the best option based on certain criterias. You can also get all the information you need from the school website as regards your program |

Breezy90: You really have to keep trying, keep hoping and keep sending that email to professors in your area of interest. You may check this tread backward to see the necessary guides in reaching out to professors, maybe it may be of help to you. Most thesis program requires a supervisor, although it is difficult to get one, but then, most people get eventually. I encourage you to keep trying. 2 Likes |

Hello house, I already got an admission to University of Winnipeg. This would be my first time applying to Canada. My question is, is it a good idea to wait till vfs opens before I apply for my study permit or it is advisable I apply now? I’m thinking of using the money for the application and medicals to do other important things until vfs opens, since no approval decision can be made yet due to the pandemic. The admission is for winter next year. |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by aliadi2: 3:05pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
Hello everyone please i am asking for the gurus wisdom on my student visa application that i am about to apply for . My uncle in Canada wanted to sponsor us when he received is permanent residence and according to the IRCC the conditons were that our parents had to be deceased for him to sponsor us . So he forwarded the application and claimed that our parents were deceased (which they are not actually ) and they application was refused . So he appealed the case with a immigration lawyer and it was denied again . Now i have gained admission and want to apply and this thing is making me confused on what to do but he is suggesting that i used my dad elder brother as my father and he will also be my sponsor with is salary account and birth certificate proving that he is my father. Please i need your wisdom on this thanks. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Lekiboboe: 3:16pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
jubrilx:Not Necessary...... but since u are going to Canada, its cool to tailor ur Résumé in a Canadian Style. For ur Study Permit Application, u can either choose to adopt the Canadian style Résumé or otherwise |

I just felt chills reading this. This is why Nigerians are flagged as high risk. Desperation, forgery & unnecessary lies. No offence but your uncle should be locked up than getting a permanent residence. That was a criminal act!!! aliadi2: 5 Likes |

aliadi2: Among all the stories about the naija hustles to travel, this is so big. I'm so sorry thou, I don't mean to add to your wounds. But start from here, what was the specific reasons for the denial? Do you get GCMS note to ascertain what why the VO rejected your app. |

Hello Guys, Thank you for all the good contributions made so far on this thread. I need your quick advise on Study Permit Application My wife's Study Permit Application is about to be submitted but we are considering also including the TRV application of myself and our two kids in her application as accompanying family members. The plan is for me and the kids to just escort her to Canada and return to Nigeria for my work and the kids' schooling. We only intend to secure TRV that can allow myself and the kids visit in Canada her during the holidays. However, I am concerned about her chances of getting the permit if we include our visit visa in her application. Can we go ahead to combine the application or should we separate them? I need your technical advises here Thank you |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Yads97: 5:09pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
aliadi2: I’d advise you ask your uncle the exact reasons why you were rejected. You need to know that before putting in another application. If he didn’t request for the GCMS notes before now, I’d advise you also do that as soon as possible. Please don’t be in a hurry to apply this time, your case is already quite complicated. All the very best. 1 Like |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Kellymaria: 5:13pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
aliadi2: The simple truth is, if you don't know, for sure, why the app was rejected, the reasons quoted and the concerns of the VO, based on the GCMS note. You may be entering a complicated issues. If you change your details as against what you have already quoted in the past, they will know, and this may likely shot you in the leg. The wise thing to do, is to ascertain why the app was rejected. Then you will better be informed on how to present yourself this time around. Anyways, feel free to follow the guidance of your uncle. 1 Like 1 Share |

aliadi2:The truth is the only safe ground to stand upon. Very risky move. So if you were granted visa and maybe later, I’m sure you would have forgotten, your sibling or yourself would want to sponsor your parents to come over. This is very wrong on all level and it is fraudulent. 3 Likes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by aliadi2: 5:59pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
Kellymaria: I really appreciate the advice and the point that you keep hammering on that i ask for the GCMS note. Also a quick note that the latter was the application for sponsorship while the one am applying for now is student visa. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Blema111: 6:06pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
Cersei:The way things are going, no one is certain as to anything happening. There’s no timeline for approval or denial. Even though you apply now and you are approved, you won’t be able to enter Canada until Winter. So either way, it’s okay. Applying now would give you ample time to prepare should things go south. You can defer if you wish to. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by aliadi2: 6:09pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
Blema111: I understand this risk so that is why i am seeking another solution. I believe that nothing is impossible and during the time he was applying for this sponsorship he did not ask me to submit any document, he only requested for my sister document and the main purpose then was to take my sister over there. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Blema111: 6:17pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
aliadi2:Just expunge his name from that application and don’t even think about him sponsoring you. Since it was your sister and not you he previously intended to sponsor, you can go ahead with your visa application. I believe you just have to truthful. When filling your application for visa, you would also fill in your sisters name and they might probably go through her records. You may have to explain this to them to prevent problems for yourself. |

Good day peeps, Pls I need assistance. I already paid for my first semester tuition in college, Canada just before the lockdown and have also filled my work permit form. Due to the lockdown, I have been unable to submit this form as the VFS Global offices in Lagos are closed and classes resumes September 8. As we speak, I have very limited time for the application to be processed. What do I do at this point? Help pls! |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by aliadi2: 6:36pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
Blema111: @blema111 That solves part of the problem am also looking at the parent that he claim was deceased and if i can used there names or use the name of my dads elder brother who is my sponsor and we are bearing the same surname. |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Blema111: 6:44pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
aliadi2:YOUR FATHER isn’t deceased. If you go with the advice of your uncle, this lie will come back to hunt you in the future when you have forgotten. Don’t lie!!! Simply state that your father is alive but you have an uncle who is interested in sponsoring you. Irrespective of whether you bear the same name, you would submit his documents, like data page of international passport and his business documents. Save yourself the stress and explain yourself. |
