Please how much is it going to cost to set up a solar inverter that can conveniently power a 43" led tv, 2 standing fans, 6 energy saving bulb, a freezer, and can last for about 12hrs a day?

Someone quoted this in one or two pages back.. it's adequate for your set up

Each of the battery is 115k x 4pcs
The 5.5kva 24v is 190k
80A MPPT charge controller is 105k
260w mono solar panel is 32k each x 8pcs

#1,011,000.

does he really need a 5.5kva inverter? 80A mppt? and those number of panels, just to power tv, fans and freezer.

Please am new here and I know you guys can point me to the right direction..

I have 3 new batteries connected to my inverter and i read that gel/agm battery should not be less than 50% when using. How can i prevent the battery going below that, assuming am already sleeping. Do you guys have any device to shut the inverter automatically when it get to 50%?

Please help me too mcTrinity sir

Which battery balacer can I use for 3 battery connected together?
Please Help me oh

some inverters like prag, have the battery DOD setting, so you can automatically choose/set the one you want. there. there should be devices you could hook up to your battery bank to serve the same function, however, i hvnt seen such...nor am i really interested. as i have solar and my load is sized apprioprately. also personally i believe letting the battery go very low once or twice yearly is even good for the battery

if your setup/load was planned properly, this shudnt be an issue, h

Reason why people spend on Solar and complain later..

How much do you think he need? 500K? 4 panels? Or 2 batteries?

At the end of the day the prices are similar, he only need to get an idea.

He stated, Solar setup convenienly, that is completely OFF grid,

the 5.5kva is an overkill, high idle consumption likely, 2.4kva should be ok. 60amps mppt max loading is about 1500w or so, but most cc accept 20 percent over sizing, so he could be ok with 60amps cc, n suffer energy loss if he has premuim panels on sunny days.. so 80amps cc is better.

apart from the inverter, i dont see much wrong with the design. better to err on the side of caution

My brother na really adventure oo. I actually bought 3 types of batteries after watching a lot of YouTube on set ups and performance.

1.) 57 modules of Nissan Leaf
2.) 6 packs of BYD batteries
3.) 100 cells of 38120 LFP

Guys, the last set of these batteries just came in. I can now start building. Too bad I'm still stuck at work and would also have to do a basic build on the first run. No BMS, breakers or isolators. These will come in when Corona allow economy start to move freely again.

For now my people need an alternate source of power so my old remaining DC fuses would just have to do for the time being.

hello solarlites and pros

please what do you think of a distance of 48ft from solar charger to panels?
PS: there is no other way out. how will this affect the system?

or I have to setup a seperate solar system for it?
I'm interested

48ft if you have an mppt cc, and transmitting at high voltage shudnt be a problem.
use the chart below to calculate and see if you are good
you can also post all your system specs so people can help you run the simulations as well

I want to upgrade an existing system... total upgrade from SC to batt3 and inverter.
what do you recommend sir?
I am upgrading to a 2batt3 system 200AH x2 batt3z

I need a breakdown of what can power these devices.
-six 5w bulbs (4 of the bulbs will be continuously on through the night from 6pm till dawn).
-a 60w led TV (the TV can reduce to about 30/40w with energy mode on).
-decoder.
-game console (this is about 170w, this will be used randomly at least 5hrs daily)
-three 30w standing fan (these will run through the night 6-6).
-a freezer ( not sure the rating. my current hisense refrigerator is 170w, I will consider to acquire a lower wattage deep freezer, this will run almost 24hrs, NEPA and generator inclusive).
I look forward to your quotes.[/quote]
I did but no one responded sad

To calculate your cable size, i need your system specs, not load.
Kindly state the following
1. Inverter voltage and capacity
2. Solar panel wattage and quantity
3. Battery..is known, u said 2 x 200ah 12v
4. Charge controller type and max input voltage...

You can send pics of the energy nameplate of these appliances, if you dont know

hi earthrealm thanks for taking out time to quote me. I really appreciate.
I want to do a fresh setup.
the only thing will go to the new setup is my (3) 150w panel.

Shalom.

I want to know inverter, SC and battery details and possibly refer brands for me (pocket friendly durable brands pls).

the photo is my current setup.

Thanks boss, have gone through this thread and have not seen any device for LVD, but people always advise for 50% DOD (how effective can one monitor a system at night)..
Which anyone can point me to a LVD device

ok, i remember this your setup, tot the issue was thrashed then?...
i recall some pages back, you said you have 2 batteries?...and listed a bunch of loads, including freezer etc.
its a bit confusing going back forth. confirm its 1 battery you have or you plan to add another?.

it best you make a fresh post, list all your present/planned loads. confirm your battery nos etc.
its best you prepare and buy a new inverter, if u are planning to upgrade to 2 batteries, as that inverter is notorious for the charging section to fail, if subjected to big battery charging
