The gist is that during this lockdown period when the Accountant General requested Bursars to validate academic staff BVN and send their details for salary payment, the university codedly employed new academic staff and sent their names too.

Somehow, this news filtered to Abuja and the payment of salaries to Umudike academic staff was put on K-I-V.

This is a rumour but according to my source it may be true because academic staff of the other universities who were in the same situation as them have been paid.

I think it's from 118 - 130k.

For a GA to earn 130k, he/she has climbed beyond the midway step and must be very close to the top step.

What he meant was a Lecturer 2 (L 2).... So Carbuyer83 is correct... it's from 130K (Step 1) or higher according to the step.
