2) Nobody likes going #1. We have the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIF) - that last I checked had about 8M members and 30M beneficiaries.NHIF allows you to choose any hospital - private or otherwise - and covers everything including cancer treatments.
3) Middle class - have their own private cover by medical insurances.
4) Gov employees like teachers, police - in addition to having that free public care, NHIF cover also have medical insurance - that covers them all the way to India if they get sick.

My understanding is you have some National Health Insurance scheme that is like kenya NHIF - although yours is a baby. Kenya's NHIF has been operation since 1960s.

Kenya NHIF is a compulsory deduction for anybody employed - formal or informal - and also have voluntary scheme.

6--A Pregnant Ghanaian worries not, why? because all her Pregnancy bills are taken care off by the Government.
7--24/7 electricity supply is a birth-right not an option.

So Kenyan's should be proud of some few High-rise buildings whereas their Politicians keep on squandering their Taxes
whereas the over 39 million Kenyan's wallows in poverty.

Primary education is totally free including books and equipment (parents and devolved funds responsible for school infrastructure though). Day secondary school totally free. Student who prefer to go for boarding- pay for boarding fees but tuition fees is paid by gov. We are now approaching 100% primary to secondary transition. Primary enrollment similar approaching 100%

University Students - Any student who gets C+ (entry-level grade) is sponsored by gov. Also, nearly all students include private ones are entitled to Higher Education Loans - this covers their small tuition and living expenses. The majority of university students pay zero to their universities.

Middle-Level college students (TIVET, Polythenic) - They also sponsored by gov. They are also entitled to Higher Education Loans. Most pay zero including for living expenses. This includes teacher, nurses and such training.


NYS was disbanded a long time ago as part of University - and is under youth program.

NYS recruit basically street kids and the very poor - and they get paid - are put in vocational training while serving the nation. Majority continue working in NYS for the rest of their lives.
