Hi, nairalanders. My decision to share a bit of my life here is prompted by the need to reduce the burden on my heart and to also find solace.

For the past 4 years i've been in a deep state of depression. This cummulated from my struggles and failures for the past 20 years. As a kid, i happened to be an exceptionally talented child; brilliant and charismatic. I used to receive positive remarks from elders and my teachers as well, mostly due to my creative abilities. One talent that was most conspicuous and made me a unique child among my pears is my exceptional drawing ability which manifested from my pre-school years when i was fond of drawing on walls with charcoal.

Well, i grew up with a lot of promise; future's art legend, film maker, music superstar, great writer, world changer...... These weren't just my childhood dreams but my great potentials. I have passion for creative arts and i love freedom so so much. Unfortunately i've so far been a prisoner all my life.

Nigeria and Africa as a whole does not appreciate Arts (creative or Abstract). Maybe if u can export your works, then you stand a better chance.

You however need a more productive (essential) trade by the side.

Today, however, i am close to forty and a humble school teacher in a dangerous state of depression. The journey that led me to this state can't be narrated here but one thing i want the reader to know is that despite my extreme poverty, my talents remain intact. I still engage in drawing and painting as hobby, i have songs that i wrote and composed. I learnt graphic design back in 2002 and most recently (2014) web design and coding (html, css, js, php) were other skills i acquired to improve myself.

The mystery however is how i remained mentally unsettled and annoyingly unable to make use of my skills to turn my life around. Now, the question is whether there is going to be a light at the end of the tornel or at this age of mine, it is too late for me. Am i already a failed project?

I now have two kids and a wife to take care of and my greatest fear is to fail them. Now that the second 20 years of my life is almost gone, is it possible for me to get loose from my boundage of stagnation?

The teaching job i am into right now is like a wrong place to me. I'm struggling to find happiness in it and the poor value attached to it makes things even worse. Now, i want freedom and happiness, i want to render services (that make me feel happy) to people and get paid. I want to establish myself as a graphic designer, web designer, film maker, writer and even a singer. Isn't it too late for me to still be nursing such ambitions? Inability to put fund together has been killing my life ambitions all these years and i still seem to lack idea.

You are not a failed project bro. Moses was 80 years when God gave him a new vision, Abraham was 75. Don’t give up. You only need knowledge to propel you into action. Please contact me on WhatsApp, 08126401351

Fast and pray with anointing for three days (6am - 6pm).

Within the three days, download and finish this book https://www.thesecret.tv/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/The-Science-of-Getting-Rich.pdf

Also read the entire book of Matthew in your period of fasting.

Thank me later.

Thanks for your encouragements PastorDavidAwuj, ThegreatIYANU and Lifenajeje. God bless. Seeing these positive responses makes a lot of difference. It is disappointing that some of us who find ourselves in this state aren't mostly lucky to have motivators around us except pressure-mounting relatives and gossipping friends and neighbours. My wife and my kids had been my only motivation until i placed this post. You might not know the magnitude of your response to my question but you have really touched my heart. I have people who have been witnessing my decline but never ever bother to ask what happen but find it easy to share my state of being with distant relative and friends. I am even considering changing environment. I might move to where no one will have an update about me and my family again

@thegreatIYANU thanks for your suggestion. I've on many occasions engaged in prayer and fasting. I thank God for His infinite mercy and protection over my family all these while. However, life has been frustrating for me.

@PastorDavidAwuj sorry sir, i'm not presently using whatsapp

Thanks for your insightful thoughts. My main concern actually is to see things working for me irrespective of where i am.

i created a post during the total lockdown period, trying to showcase my 3D vector designs but the thread was banned for violating advert rules. I couldnt create more because i was using a borrowed laptop and the owner needed it back. I will however post more of my work during the lockdown on this thread. I saved them in my flashdrive. Lack of tools has been an hindrance, no laptop, no smartphone. But, from now i will not allow these to cripple me anymore. I'll take everything step by step.
