33 points right? Thank you!

Zeus04:

Yes! I evaluated and claimed with mine. Though I heard it has to be the examination route and not the professional route.

Banks may not issue a reference letter for an account less than six months old.

cnwamo:
Please I have a question to anyone that may know the answer. Is it possible to use a newly opened account to receive a gift deed towards the express entry?
The reason for my question is because I don’t reside in Nigeria and I only have a foreign bank account but my Family member in Nigeria has offered me the funds needed but unfortunately I can’t receive it here at the moment.
Any input will be highly appreciated.
Thank You.

1. If your annual salary is not enough to give you $20,000 over the years you've worked, you may still need to do a gift deed just to avoid unnecessary refer backs.

2. Yes you need a PCC from Nigeria

KlausMike:
Hi everyone. I would appreciate if anyone can help me with my question.

A little background story:
I recently graduated from a master’s program here in Canada and am hoping to apply for federal skilled worker program when the draw resumes. I created an EE profile today and would like to start making arrangements for the necessary documents i'd need. My questions are as follows:

i. Do i still need a gift of deed (to explain where the amount came from) from my dad for the $20,000 sent last year, considering it has been in my account for a year

ii. Considering that i left naija in 2018, do i need a police certificate from Nigeria?

Hello everyone, Good evening from Milton, Ontario, Canada. I know it's mid-night in Nigeria, 3.06am to be precise, while it is 10.06pm here.

In any case, I may be able to give some insights about Ontario, perhaps that could help other folks looking at other Province. So, that's the deal.

Okay noted. thanks a lot

It's a waste of time for EE except you need it for job hunting purposes when you get to Canada..

To claim points for Canadian education, you must have been physically present for atleast 8 months in Canada while doing the course.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by blaqvoke: 10:11pm On Jun 09, 2020
Lol thank you. I’m also searching for short and relevant online and affordable courses. Although, I read here about CIT and accounting courses but I don’t have any background in these and I want to be sure whatever I’m doing is relevant for this EE purpose so I need help really
SapphireFort:

I am considering such because I believe there would be no need for credential assessment as long as the University is accredited. Do you have any information on any affordable online course? From the CRS calculator, you can see that it'll be considered for educational points not Canadian experience since it is online. You'll need at least 8 months study in Canadian to gain more points for Canadian education

To improve your score, no. You have to be physically present for it to count.

Good morning all. I am trying to create my EE profile but I need some clarifications. For my MSc degree, for the education history part, I chose part-time because my course at Unilag was a part time course. Where o have a challenge now is selecting the year I completed my degree. My statement of result states 2018 but strike dragged the program to 2019, my WES evaluation also states 2018. What year is it advisable I put as the end year. 2018 or 2019? Thank you

Same with me, msc unilag pertime and due to strike it dragged to first quarter of 2019 but I inputed 2018 as that's what the statement of result shows.

Thanks to everyone giving back to this community, y'all are the real G. I'm ashamed to be an alumni but not coming back here as often as I can. I hope to improve cry

Please I need some clarity on credential evaluation for Nurses. I'd appreciate if anyone can help. I've spent the last 2hrs on the thread and previous ones but still not very clear.

My friend has BScN, RN and RM; we're trying to know which evaluating body will give the best positive result for the assessment.

I'm aware WES only recognized BScN as a 4 yr degree and IQAS and ICES recognizes all three certificates/degree.

My questions are:
Should we go for IQAS or ICES?
Do we evaluate all 3 credentials or which one should we send?
What will the assessment report return as for both bodies? 2 or more certificates?

I'd appreciate a response. Thanks in anticipation smiley

The program was from Jan 2017, inputting 2018 would make it look like my program was one year. I don’t want to contradict myself while filing the application.

Thanks for the information I had no idea about that.
Do you think it would be okay for me to reactivate the account i was using as of 2013 when i left Nigeria? I still receive e statements on the account, do you think that would suffice?

Please I need to ask this question, my boyfriend has work for a company which belong to his uncle for 7years without being paid Tax(personal income tax) , the business is incorporated and registered. Has online presence cos the Uncle is into web developer and design etc. He studied Mechanical engineering and he did computer training in graphic design now he is through with school, He work there part time to help him with school fees, which he was paid cash. Now he want to go through express entry Canada . Will that effect him during ITA.
Thanks all.

No. Having not paid taxes will not affect his application. Being paid in cash will also not be a problem.

Good day all, please I plan on writing Ielts next month. I would like to know which exam options is preferable that is computer based or the written type.
Also can I use my National ID for means of identification on exam day, I saw some conflicting information somewhere. I would appreciate a kind answer/suggestion.Thank you.

I am not sure about the ID thingy. I used my passport. I guess National ID should be acceptable. They said use government-issued ID. Confirm from your IELTS instructions for test day. You can also contact them to clarify.

On computer/paper based test, your choice. Depends on which one you are more comfortable with. If you are very proficient with the computer, and would rather read on a screen than on hard copy, do the computer based test. Just note that the computer doesn’t auto correct so you still have to check your spellings and all. I do not see any significant advantages one has over the other. Do what suits your person.

If you are writing IELTS in Nigeria, you can only use a valid passport as your form of ID. You can easily confirm this from the websites of MOD and BC now.

Good morning all. grin

Please, if the purpose of wanting to reach out to me is to help you send anything from here, kindly be notified that neither WES nor Service Canada are accepting any hard copy paper documents for now until further notice. In fact, I wanted to send a phone to Lagos yesterday at Canada Post and they said no, until further notice

WES is receiving hardcopy documents. My transcripts were sent through DHL on Wednesday 4th of June 2020 last week. WES received it on Monday the 8th of June 2020
