Wow! That's a big red flag.

It is one of the cheapest stocks on NSE right now.
Liquidity is however a major issue.
They have not been paying dividend for sometimes which explains investors apathy against the stock thou that is understandable given the fact that they need to shore up their capital to meet required capital base.

Going forward, I think it is a good stock for those who can be patient.

If s stock is not liquid, at least it should be consistent with dividend payments. An illiquid stock that doesn't pay dividends is a big no no.

Immortal advice! grin

If you carry an illiquid stock that does not also pay dividends, you are like this driver here.
The best Jijo comes from dividend paying stocks, so that when you are stuck, dividends will hire a crane.

Those who bought First Bank, Guinness, Nigeria Brewery are okay.

1000 units of first bank bought at N3500 in 1993 grew to 56,000 units due to bonuses
The bonus history of Nigeria brewery is far better than Nestle over the years.

Nothing much about Union Bank, if the dividends earned over the years were diversified and reinvested the Investor should be okay.

I just shared this to let people know that after having about 6 months to 12 months living expenses in money market funds, excess funds should be Invested in a business, FG Bond, stock market, real estate , Eurobond etc. If not the money will lose its value.

Always good to invest and make sure the Investments generate income and cash flow

As long as the business is well managed, fundamentals are solid, earnings are growing and it is appropriately priced, anything short of this is to sell and reinvest in well managed and growing businesses, selling at a discount

Absolutely! I'm not in for a stock marriage that won't produce baby. Apart from Christ, immediate family and Chelsea grin, I don't usually follow blindly. So once a company is playing ludo with my financial destiny (intentionally or through negligence), I move! Zero emotion!

Guys, is shorting possible on NSE?

Not yet, but you can try some techniques... especially the Oracle style, or talking with your stockbroker. They can help.

Wow, this kind of return is massive. Thumbs up to Zenith and GTB in the banking sector. The annual dividends I now get from them is almost the same with the capital invested in 2004.

Your simple and deep insight into the stock market always attract me to your comment. Thank you for being here sir. I have really gain alot from your comments here. Most of them collaborate what I have read in the book of Late Asiwaju Asalu. I hope you plan to write a book for us also. There sis scarcity of books about the Nigeria capital mkt.

Thanks to OGG also. I am a staunch fan and I have read your materials on Booksie recently and I wish I had seen them on time.

Meanwhile, I am seeking for a mentor in investment. I will happy to be accepted by any of you too. Thanks in advance.

The problem with investing is that it is boring. Many investors can’t stand it. So they change something that was otherwise okay, and try to become traders or jijoist overnight...

They have been saying it here that Access Bank is something waiting to explode, and you want to leave it and go to something that has already exploded and is most probably overvalued.

My advice to you is this, ask yourself why you bought Access in the first place and ask yourself why you want to change and buy Neimeth now.
