SLAP44: Is there a region better or more prosperous than SW. We don't travel locally, we travel internationally. Cc . facthunter Source: https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/more-doctors-to-leave-nigeria-as-covid-19-gets-worse-in-usa.html But besides being a national identification and travel data, this indicates travel source states or regular departure points of most Nigerians. A breakdown of passports issued between 2014 and 2018 showed that the South-West has the highest number, at 650,958 new passports issued. 5 Likes 4 Shares |

solmus: My friend go and sit down. You think your Yeye Kale fake statistics will cover SW poverty and backwardness!? Continue hiding under Lagos while your region remains on same level with the North East. Enugu airport, Owerri airport, P.H airport, and Asaba airport, all four airports are in Igboland and they are the busiest in Nigeria after the two national cities of Lagos and Abuja. Your so called Ibadan airport attracts less traffic than a private airstrip. Honestly, it's a very big shame on you guys. Soon Anambra and Ebonyi will complete their airports and they will equally be viable but the airport aregbe rascal was building in Oshogbo has been abandoned since and is now overgrown with weeds. Audio and propaganda people. Internet don open una yansh finish 2 Likes 1 Share |

OnyeOfenmanu: You are quoting NBC now and it’s sweeting you. Later if NBC releases the IGR of each state, you and ur kins will start shouting ‘Yoruba dominated media’ up and down. |

micseyi: You are obviously not educated. If you are, you would know that IGR doesn’t reflect economic development. It’s just a tax generated from workers and businesses within the state. A state can choose to tax less of it citizens to allow for them to have more disposable income, as well as businesses having more money to reinvest, employ more labour and expand their business. It keeps the state citizens economically and socially healthy. It only means that the government will generate less in IGR. This favours Eastern states more because, they are business owners ( mostly small and medium scale enterprise). It will help keep their businesses alive for them to survive and also employ more. On the other hand, some other states may decide to tax both its citizens and businesses within to death, while it declares high IGR. It only means that, the state would have more IGR generated but the citizens will be poorer and It will make the state less business friendly. This is common in the west and north because, most businesses are owned by outsiders. While you think you are taxing them to death, you forget that the ordinary man on the street will bear the burden, because the business owner will transfer it to the end user through price increase. That is why in the east, you see people looking fresh, well dressed and fed, as well as looking healthy. Because despite the harsh economic situation, people are still surviving on their businesses. They are still able to afford their basic needs, (food, clothing and shelter), But in the west, people are always looking frustrated, hungry, malnourished, haggard unhappy and looking like they are suffering from stunted growth. You will even see old women begging in Ibadan for example. The people are not only poor financially, they are also poor in mind. They have no sense of survival or entrepreneurship. Apart from government civil service in most southwest states, the middle class is almost no existent, unlike in the east where apart for government civil servants, there is a larger class of business men and women, who are not only doing well, they make the middle class very vibrate. So IGR my foot. The joke is on you. 3 Likes |
