Under the Electoral Act, a person willing to challenge the outcome of an election must bring the court action within 21 days of the annoucement of the result..... in this sense, the PDP cannot go back and challenge the 2016 election on d ground that obaseki was not qualified in the first place.

He can't be fielded by PDP. They know the certificate saga will equally work against them if the matter eventually goes to court. One thing is clear though, Obaseki will prefer to be succeeded by PDP rather than Oshiomhole's APC.

He is constitutionally empowered to make law through his State Assembly. Whether that law is good or bad can only be determined by court, not his party. So, APC can not disqualify him based on that since the law affects the entire State, not APC alone. If APC had disqualified him based on that, it would have been a good ground to set the disqualification aside.

But any Party reserves the right to refuse to allow any aspirant to contest election under its flag based on what it deems may jeopardise the chances of the Party in general election in the qualification process for that election as it affects the aspirant.

na wa for you o, the problem is not majorly the authenticity of the certs, but the discrepancies in the dates, the year he was actually supposed to grad and the year he graduated, his o level results the spelling of his name on the NYSC cert and a lot of others, obaseki didn't submit any certificate during the last elections, he only submitted afidavites claiming he lost his original certs during movement from one office to another.
