It has a proper international airport which you can go like to almost all relevant places on the Earth which is opposite to Dar.

They have light rail system which is better than our brt.

Lastly Dar is not better planned than Addis ababa.

I remember this post by natgeo a while back about Kenya's middle class. Westerners could just not believe how this is the lifestyle of a middle-class family in Nairobi.

All this residential complexes we post here better believe we own them. I know some countries in here lack a proper middle class that's why they keep calling out Kenya's development as either Chinese or indian. They just can't believe how an average Kenyan can afford such.

Why do Kenyas, and Eastern Africans have love for high rise buildings?

It is firstly due to demand.The economies are growing very fast hence the high demand

Second it'd due to competition and the whole idea of copying from your neighbors. Even the national airlines in east African nations are doing similar stuff.

Lastly Dar is not better planned than Addis ababa, take your time and look on google map you can easily see that. Dar doesn't belong in a group of better planned cities.

It has an airport,so as Dar.Although Bole international has more PAX numbers.

Yes they have a light rail.Dar has both.A speed rail which is almost complete with a brt and don't forget a marine transport in Dar is superb.

Dar is more planned.An Ethiopian wife of mine in this forum confirmed it here.

Don't forget Dar is a costal city! Imagine owning a beach home in those white sands beaches of Tanzania. Who don't like that?
