After seeing photos of University of Ghana, I can categorically beat my chest and say...

This is a poultry!
The more reason why we'll continue to struggle and never developed ourselves in this country, we never for once appreciate what we have, always tear ourselves down and bad mouth each other. Some other Africa countries are hoping to @least get to where we are today while Nigerians keep believing we can't reach some certain height. I hope you're studying/Studied in that Ghana university or else you go shoot urself las las ni. Appreciate what you have my brother, change start from me and you.

you should resist the urge to comment every time, you have the right to hate, but when you hate with your reasoning locked, you are nothing but a sub human. I can put it to you , no university in your region comes close to those pics shown, I have been to almost every university in southern Nigeria, it is only on platforms like this people like you will condemn what is above your reach in all ramifications. The university of Ghana you are salivating on is just average at best compared to normal university
Kstandard, check out structures from South Africa, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia and see for yourself. we know our structures are below par, but those structures from Ghana shouldn't be the benchmark. let me stop here, because I know your region and I know some universities structures there are worse than Boko Haram rehabilitation centres.

I love this..abeg help me tell the ignoramus

Well, we don't have the money

Our budget for education this year is $3billion approx. Our total budget is $26 billion. Canada where most of you want to go to spent $60 billion on primary school education in one year.

OAU has a budget less than 12 billion naira...that's 30 million dollars. Most of which go to salaries. Meanwhile, an equivalent university in the US has budgets of $100million and above.

The problem is, Nigeria is a poor nation. To become a rich nation requires us taking hard economic decisions, which most Nigerians don't support.
Nigeria is poor Nigeria is poor you would here someone stole so so and so billion those are the ones we know I and there are others that we don't know because they are in apc or because they have found favour in the eyes if the president, no money no money Nigeria is poor abeg the money that was budgets for renovating presidential villa came from the pit of hell, no money no money those law makers and some politician make out of this would make you rethink and start considering politics as the next business venture, no money of recent Arewa spoilt brats put Lamboghinis, Royce, Bentley on display not one not two or four guys who do not work legit, do yahoo or own a business it makes me question how and where their fathers are getting that sort of money from if not milking the country's purse, all those Abacha loot where is the money, all those whistle blower money where is the money. Let's cut the money some politicians turn lawmakers to a bearable amount heck no till today it is still inflating but talk about let's spending on what the masses and Nigerians would benefit from you would hear stories, if we are poor and let's restrucsture or implement confab na lie those people milking this country won't allow such sir there is nothing you can say that would convince me that we are broke finito

We are poor because we are a resource dependent nation, not a induistrial nation.

We export raw materials...before it was agruiculture, now it is oil, ...and share the money, and import stuff whose value is more than what we export. We also import stuff that we manufacture, which stifles our industries, and leads to job losses.

(As an example, we import biscuits into this country to the tune of billions of naira. Meanwhile, we have a home grown biscuit industry that is suffering as a result)

It is like a guy whose salary is N80000, but whose expenses is like N150000. No alternate source of income whatsoever.

That is why we are poor.

(And yes, i used to believe Nigeria was a very rich nation unitl my eyes got opened 9 years ago).

Appreciate mediocrity? We like settling for the average in Nigeria and that is why we have average as our Insigna.

You’re having a laugh? Nigerian universities are glorified high schools - why would my kids be educated in any of them? It’s never going to happen. Sorry you’re damned to have your kids educated in those glorified colleges whilst your elected officials embezzle funds to educate their children abroad.

Ur name has said it all. U can never align with a good thing. Best of luck. Even when u take Ur child to Oxford Uni, you would still downgrade the school. It is well with Ur soul in Jesus name
