Abso1uteZero: They're responding to a newsfeed. Just like with George Floyd or some earthquake in New Zealand. Not that they particularly follow Nigerian news. Anyway, you lie. You also know Julius Malema, AKA, Caster Semenya, Jacob Zuma, Charlize Theron, Zozibini Tunzi, Cassper Nyovest, Sho Madjozi, Oscar Pistorius, Simphiwe Tshabalala, Elon Musk, Thembi Kgatlana, Wayde van Niekerk, etc etc etc. 9 Likes |

Iamundisputed:But he wasn't caught because he was loud. I keep telling people this. He was caught because the sheer scale of the heist demanded that he/they be caught. Nobody knows me but if I did it, I would be caught too. 13 Likes |

This is what you get when people elect money chasers, who brand themselves "politician". They will allow heartlessly and careless so called politicians to blind them with highest 5000naira and stay in power for 4 years. Can 5000naira last for a month? To those who will start good business with the 5000naira, tell me, is it worth it to care for your self only and turn blind eye to the interest of your fellow citizens. A philosopher leader knows what prestige means; he cares about his peoples welfare; he leads with example. If one of them obeys traffic light, his people will feel that since the greatest of them obeys such rule, they themselves are nobody to avoid the rule. Lastly, it is cowardice that will make a full grown man to say "I wish am not from this country" or "just make money and leave this country". Let's start a revolution that will remove all this useless politicians. Vox populi Vox Dei. Let's not listen to them when they say "violence is not the way". They should tell us what is more violent like acting like a dictator. 8 Likes 1 Share |

abokikhalifa: Their Minister and government justified their legalized stealing publicly without shame. They should deal with their own thieves instead of crying for Nigeria. They have millions of thieves, Nigerians are castigating him, they should castigate their own broad daylight thieves instead of pretending that they are clean. I am not far from the truth either, idiot, who arrested your country? Useless comment! Talk no dey sweet for thief mama mouth. 9 Likes 2 Shares

I have nothing much to say going through this thread and comments, all I have to say is that I'm happy it's not a guy from the east if not we wouldn't rest for few days but since it's from afonjas no one is taking it personal... I saw some posts of people&celebrities asking others to pray for hushpuppi to be released despite the mass of his crime but would they've done the same if he's from the east, I doubt it... Tribalism is our problem in this country, take a look at SA judging Nigerians while they've the highest rate of crimes and senseless criminals too but they put all their misfortunes on foreigners living in their land. 11 Likes 1 Share |

ModelX: Bro, there is no official information from the Interpol or FBI stating that Hushpuppi was arrested for such a heist. Most of the news circulating are just speculations and clips from a report of $35m heist. No official information!!! Just our own Nigerian bloggers adding clips and connecting the dots. We have no official photo of the guy in handcuffs, only fake ones from the FBI raid a few years ago connected to Invictus Obi. What if this guy gets released and we later discover he was arrested by Dubai police for a minor offence? Just what if! 7 Likes |

WannaHowzit: You South Africans claim that Nigerians are drug peddlers in your country, but you forget that supply only rises based on demand. How come we don't take cocaine or heroine or methamphetamine in our own country? Even weed and cough syrup (codeine) is illegal here and constitutes the major drug busts. Check yourselves, your people are drug addicts and I'm sure the Nigerians selling the "drugs" are working for SA cartels. Stop the name calling. If every Nigerian in SA both legal and illegal leave the country, the drug addiction of your people won't go away, you'd probably blame Mozambicans and ur other SADC neighbours over there. 43 Likes 3 Shares |

coolcentbigman: Is there any confirmation from FBI or Interpol stating that Hushpuppi was arrested for the fraud? All we know is that Nigerian bloggers are the ones giving us information with unconnected news reports. No official communication from any international law enforcement. Unlike Obi (Invictus) Okeke's case that the FBI clearly gave details of his arrest, we still don't know if Hushpuppi was truly arrested by the FBI and Interpol. All we know is that Kemi Olunloyo (a fellow Yoruba) was one of those promoting the news. So forget the Afonja nonsense you're saying cos you guys don't even know the meaning. This is not about tribe cos crime is crime both ways. But let's not resort to blaming ourselves, it won't solve anything. 6 Likes 2 Shares |
