Thanks alot for the info. But does this attract any extra cost excluding the school fees?
Summer courses are bit higher than normal course fee and it varies from department but outside sch fees no extra course as far as I know. Best is to contact the advisor

My friend came back to Nigeria last year because he couldn't continue due to lack of funds.
Reason is that, you can't get job to support your living and education.
The guys actually regretted going, though someone on nairaland warned bought of us, but he didn't listen then

How many years did he last there?

Cyprus is for people who already have a means to pay fees.

Well, I know my igbo friend as a good Hustler who is not lazy. So the fact that maybe He doesn't look for opportunities is not it.

From his experience Cyprus is only for students who can pay all his tuition fees, accommodation and transport for the whole years of study,
Because to get side hustle na die

oga Cyprus is bad especially if you are a master's student. I finished from there in 2018, emu to be precise.

If your parents or family can't sponsor you very well forget it, a lot of folks are stranded and frustrated with no direction on the island.

It was the agent who motivated him to go and waste money

Re: North Cyprus by haroldwilly780: 6:28pm On Jun 13, 2020
Struggling is applicable to all country or island ..not just cyprus. .....in international countries, u must be able to pay ur tuition fee,...even in d usa , u can't be working and expect ur pay check to pay ur tuition fees...ur paycheck can only pay up some bills , house,feeding,etc.....struggling is every where

Guy all you want to do is leave Nigeria with tourist visa. Your friend went to cyprus expecting to get rich he didnt go there to school as his major agenda. Dont come here to start misleading people

There's nothing misleading about what he said. If one does not have the means then he/she shouldn't bother coming to study in Cyprus, Mr. Wip talks about this too. A friend of mine went back home in February, there are still some wandering around taking a course each semester. Agents misled many of them. Here you'll see a student taking a four years program for 7 years, it's not easy actually and I'm sure no one would like to be in such a condition. The money saved for traveling and the first year of study, if spent wisely, can make them live better off in Nigeria.

Start misleading inocent people. Instead of Nigerians to help ourselves by telling our brothers the truth, or the reality, but because of our selfishness, agent money. You end up misleading them.

Imagine a poor guy manage to get save money from his hustling , poor parents and family's. Then He ended up coming back to Nigeria without nothing.

Guys if you don't have any sponsor back in Nigeria or another fund. Please don't go and regret traveling.

Why would you go to another persons country to make money when you know their major source of income is education tax and tourism. Why would i want to enter another mans land not geared up. I can never be that foolish. They are not stupid either. Its like using my own money to pay me. Why would i as a country want you to do that?

He went there to make money to build house. The type of money wey una go find na yahoo money. If education is strictly what you went there for ,with a sponsor that will pay your fees yearly. You will survive.

Very funny, I laugh in Greek. Oga 70% of Nigerians who travel to study in abroad. Went for two things call investment. Which is known as study and work , so as to sponsor myself and send small things home.

The only problem here is that, useless agent always take the advantage of poor guys knowing that they desperately want to travel, study and work. So the agent conceal the fact from them .

My advice for guys
If not shengen country like
Germany , Austria, Luxembourg, Nertherland etc. Don't ever think you can study and work to survive.

USA , Canada and Australia are also a good place for you to study and work

If you don't have sponsor like rich family who is ready to sponsor you to study in Cyprus. Oga stay back, invest your money and go to better country

Even these countries you mention ...people still suffer there....and it will be a little bit hard for you to even work and pay tuition fee,cus you can only get blue collar job..and the pay is not that much....how will you pay tuition, feeding, bills ,rents and still send money home ??.can't work like that ..the money you make is for survival. ....it's just that cyprus economy is a little cramped unlike the countries you mentioned ...all we need is grace ...cus the cyprus you're talking about people still make a good living there....

There is no need repeating what have been said earlier.
If you want to be comfortable in N.Cyprus, simply have a sponsor at home.
There is no work lying around for you to take and make millions here. The major jobs for foreigners is menial jobs which are not even simply to come by.
If you are really interested in making money then the island is not for you. Though there are hundreds of persons who are comfortable here without sponsors due to the services they render and not necessarily fraud.

People are funny , how can you pay first year school fees and expect to work in their own country, use their own fund to pay them back. Who does that? You cant do that in a surviving territory like cyprus, some eu nations and asian nations wont even allow students to work because they know this economics.

Rich countries will let you work because they know who ever can afford school fees is buoyant enough financially to be in their country its a win win situation. Thats mathematics.

Fact of the matter is cut your coat according to your size. If you cant cut your coat, dont even bother buying one

People need to remove the mentality of making it big once outside the country. You have to really choose what you want. Either school or sending money home. You can't combine them all and still expect to feed well and pay bills.
Cyprus is not a bed of Rose at all. It is not simply or easy. Have it at the back of your mind also that there are person that have made it and survived even under the harsh conditions.

Thank you all for this comment, we need to keep letting people know about the fact which agent don't tell them. And by the time the reality is done on them over there, they start engaging in bad act.

Like the guys had mentioned, if anyone want to go for study in all this country, is either you have money or someone who will sponsor you for the tuition and accommodation. Then you can get small job for feeding and survive.
Make the sacrifice for the year of your studies
Then you can move to other countries with your good certificate to seek for better paid job

It all about sacrifice
I can't wait , I can't wait. Has coronavirus not make the world wait by force?

It all about sacrifice and waiting
God bless our hustle
