Hahaha, Bootstrap is child's play compared to what I've written in Frontend. Bootstrap is just a CSS framework not a frontend framework.

React, REDUX, Restful API are things that makes you a Frontend Developer, you should have mastered Bootstrap like ABC.

Yeah, so far, I've mastered html, css and bootstrap. Now learning vanilla Javascript.

I'm even thinking I've arrived with what I was able to do with bootstrap. Not knowing I've barely scratched the surface

Don't dwell too long on mastering Vanilla Js syntax because it would just waste your time. Dive into React and Redux as fast as possible. Vanilla JavaScript syntax is different from React Jsx syntax, dive into React immediately.

I can't help but laugh....Anyone going into programming for the money will sooner or later find themselves bankrupt and frustrated. Web development/design should be a passion, you must love coding, you must love attention to detail and above all you must love your brain getting hot and your fingers almost numb from hours of back and forth.

Now since what Nigerians really care about is money, I'll mention the koko, in my early days I made average of 60,000 dollars from the firm and average of $1000 per month as a freelancer, ultimately I left the programming world because much more lucrative jobs out there and you tech guys are just puppets that would never come close to making over 200,000 dollars per year. Unless you find yourself working at a firm, your income can be as little as 30,000 Naira a month or as much as 1 million a month. If you are a true freelancer then you must be at least better or on the same levels as the Indians /Pakistanis. The higher your skillsets the more you can charge especially on platforms like Upwork or Fiverr.

If you do decide to work for a firm, make sure you have a plan B, because programmers are like flies they get squashed and blamed when anything goes wrong with the company's website or database from the technical side. High turnover rate and high unemployment rate, just make sure you're in it for the passion and not the money, to be top notch you must be ready for a war not a career!
how can one be at par with Indians then ? I await your reply

First you must love programming, you must develop the passion. Coding should be your bible and your truth. Next, move frombasic programming towards advanced programming, become an expert in java or more advanced programming language and develop a niche for yourself. Do you want to be front end, back end or full stack developer? Start attending conferences, workshops and do some volunteer work to showcase your skills. You can help friends, non profit organizations etc to build a webiste or maintain their websites, this gives you plenty of practice while doing a good deed.

The goal here is continuous improvement, sharpen your skills and showcase your work, the rest will come naturally!

Python is the easiest programming language out there. Just watch, write and practice tutorials from YouTube and also read some good PDF then you're good to go.

Lol, very old technology, quite useful in some instances like animations etc, if you check my portfolio website below, you'll see how I used jQuery to animate the entire thing.

No, he needs basic (vanilla JS) before going to React. React is written in JavaScript and they use vanilla to write it. I would suggest he master Dom, ES6 and the rest.

7 Things to know before jumping to JavaScript Framework.

- JavaScript fundamentals
- classes
- modules
- promises
- High order arrow functions
- Destructuring
- Arrow functions

Management, anything management! See tech guys will always do the hardwork while the so called manager/director or VP makes the big money. I've been an I.T audit manager for 3 years now and before that I was an I.T manager for our database analytics team, I can't believe an easier job actually pays more....It is what it is.....lol.

Very nice, how much do you make as an IT audit manager?
