Hello All.
I have been actively working on getting another car for some time. I have searched Nairaland and it’s mostly toks Honda that is sold here... To cut it short, I found an A-list Honda Pilot today on Jiji, and it really captured me. The manufacture date is 2004.

But there is the usual talk about Honda cars, including common issues and their resale value. In the circumstances, Transmission failure....I need all the advice I can get to make my decision, including on management tips if I go for it. What are the things I should look out for. My alternative is a Toyota Highlander 2003, but it is way above my budget trying to get a Nigerian used. Moreover I just left a Camry and will like to feel how a different brand tastes like.

Advice about this alternative would also be well appreciated.
Thanks very much.

Yes sir. I know Acura has good technology and interior than Honda. But I am sticking with Honda. Acura has more issues from 05 downwards.

Honda pilot is a good car I used.
The only problem is you can't use it for load carriage, the back tyres will bend.
No single fault at all

I don't agree excess load is the cause. This applies to most Honda vehicles. So it is no an issue please. Though stand to be corrected

Please go ahead and get the vehicle. It is one of the most rugged SUV. I uses Pilot as my daily drive vehicle and there is no road it can not summount. Remember it is a 4x4 drive

Very sweet, low maintenance ride. Always delivers, I never had a single issue with it except when an M-class AMG disgraced me along airport road in port Harcourt. Don’t let anyone deceive you, it doesn’t have ANY leg issues. If you need correct fluids, contact luvinhubby

We have a 2005 honda pilot bought since 2008 and still in good condition..

No leg pull, and it is an everyday car.

Negative you meant, outwards... If the bottom of the wheel is farther out than the top // \\ .
This is Positive \\ // If the top of the wheel is farther out than the bottom
