thats what my senior brother studied he is curently a manager at ota farm they gave him a brand new hilux and he has bought a land in ofada planing to build his own farm

Am an Animal Scientist, I bet you Animal Science is a very good and lucrative Course.. If u really knw in and out of all animal aspect, as u are aware is a very practical job, is not theory atall. As for job opportunities, I once a consultant with some farms b4 getting an appointment with one of leading farm here in Nigeria, d producer of Noiler (if u know u knw). Though to start a farm u require capital but if u are unable to gather capital as d start, u can start wit Consulting(if u really knw wat you are doing ooo)

She wasn't passionate at all, maybe she went for medicine or pharmacy but ended up doing animal science, i am an agricultural economist, but currently running my fish business, the funniest thing is that Agriculture is the easiest business to start with

Salary? If you are an animal scientist and don’t see yourself as someone paying salaries then it’s not your job. They are employers not followers. Though no pressure starting small is key

Any course that will give the requisite skills to stand alone after graduation is good. Try to master it to become an authority in it. You stand a chance of owning one of the biggest food production companies.

Animal Science is such a great course if you develop passion for it.

My guy, let me give you an honest advise. A lot of people here will advise you from an ignorant position. You see this Animal science?? It is just a step below Vet. Med. Just know your animal science. It is very lucrative. Make i just give u small analogy. There is hardly any politician in this country who doesn't have a farm, you think they are the ones that manage it themselves?? The key word like i said is just know your animal science. And believe me, livestock is a lucrative and almost loss-proof venture if done properly of course. Right now, with my line of work, i am wishing i studied Animal science instead of industrial chemistry. Hope this helps!!

OP...i think this is a green light for you. If I were you, I'll contact this person to link me up with his brother, who is now a manager at Otta Farm and make him (his brother) my mentor/Godfather....just so I can have someone to guide my career/choice as a going concern for the future.

bros, Nigeria now na just study anything come out then begin place your own connection. There is 50% chance that you might not even use the certificate and 80% chance that you might not practice what you studied.

This course Animal science was my first love, intact I had to quickly click on this thread to make my contribution.

I was wrongly talked out of studying this course by my teachers, friends and family because they saw a very bright science student. I am a doctor now, but I believe I would have been more fulfilled if I had studied animal science or fisheries.

This is the catch, population is exploding, u can choose not to wear good cloth or live under the bridge, some people have never visited a hospital before,...but Every living thing must eat.

Animal science or agriculture courses makes u self innovative and autonomous.
Please dont follow the band wagon my brother, please. There might not be jobs but your skillsets creates the jobs for u

Study and understand (not cram to pass) properly what animal science entails.

Animal Science won't pay you. Even Veterinary Medicine isn't selling in Nigeria.

Currently, my candid advice is write another jamb exam or concentrate your effort on IGCSE (an International Exam).

It pays to "suffer" and study courses like Medicine, Aeronautical Engineering, Aviation courses etc than coming out from the University with a Degree of 4 years and start searching for job that will not sustain you at all.

Baba if you study all these courses no mean say you go get job ooo if you no get better connect for naija.

One of my guy study biz ad for Babcock uni, now he's working with ministry of foreign affairs for Abuja.
