Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here. I applied to about 4 Universities (two of the Universities were through their online portal - TU Dortmund and Hildesheim, while the others Uni potsdam and FU Berlin, through Uniassist Portal) all for M.Sc Data Science. I received an acknowledgement from the former that my applications were well received and wait for a decision. The only issue I have with the latter (Uniassist). Over a week now that I applied, I keep seeing "In evaluation, payment received'' under my application tab. I uploaded scanned copies of my original documents including motivation letter with the application form I downloaded after paying the handling fee. I also received an email saying "Thank you. Your payment was successful and we received your application. Attached please find your application overview, the fees and a PDF of our Terms & Conditions". Please, what else should I do? 1. Do I go ahead and certify my documents at the high court and send to Uniassist through courier immediately or wait till they send another mail asking me to send my documents? 2.The documents I plan on sending are my school leaving certificate with Waec scratch card, University certificate, and my transcript, IELTS(optional). Are there other documents that are required to be sent apart from this? Looking forward to your replies. Thanks! |

Jeanjohnny: It usually takes at least 2 weeks for Uni-assist to evaluate your documents and forward your application to the school(s) you applied to. Mine took almost three weeks. Uni-assist will inform you via email when the evaluation is completed and your application is forwarded. Since you say it's been just a week, I'll say be patient. I do not know about FU berlin, but for potsdam you are not required to send any physical documents via post. This information is available on potsdam's website. Just ensure you print out the application form from Uni-assist, sign it and upload back to Uni-assist. 1 Like |

Kizzygentle:I'm sorry, I don't have the application link on my phone browser. I made the application on my PC. I visited the websites of the above-named Universities. Then I filled necessary information and uploaded my documents. Your best bet would be to visit the school website. |

Please quick question. I got admission to study bachelor a month ago and I booked my AD for bachelor and now I just got admission for masters. I need an advice from you guys please. Should I cancel my online AD booking and rebook for masters or should I leave it. Is there an advantage of masters over bachelor in the booking process or is it based on early booking. And if I get AD based on my bachelor can I switch to masters when I get there? Please i need quick response before its late. |

Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Stiflersammy(m): 10:04am On Jun 15, 2020 |
Jeanjohnny: 1)If the document you sent are original, you don't need to go the high court for certification. Like me all my document are original and I got a feedback. Most time the university that are free or the school pay uniassist for application fee are always slow. Like Uni Potsdam was a little slow than HHNE, because I pay a fee for HHNE and Uni Potsdam was free, but after few week it was OKAY. 2) Most times those are the document, you can check the school site or talk to the course coordinator. The person will mail you the requirement or refer you to the place on their website. |

If you're in Benin City and would be sending your docs to uni-assist latest next tomorrow Wednesday June 17, please indicate so we can combine and share costs through DHL, as they seem to be the only courier that delivers to recipients in Europe at the moment despite the lockdown |

Stiflersammy: Be careful with the bolded information man, you don't send original docs to uni-assist 2 Likes |

lexdino: Exactly .....lol.....I wonder where he/she got that information........Uniassist always posts a Caveat on their Site that any paper document you send to them will not be returned to you and will be disposed after some time.....so it’s always advised to send Certified Photocopies Of your Documents to avoid had I known.......you can upload Originals on their Website but try and send Certified Photocopies to them via Courier. NB: Although you can send your Original Transcript in a Sealed and Stamped Envelope direct from your University to them in Germany......but that will mean Applying/paying for another Transcript again if you want to apply to other schools, so it’s better to just get One Original Transcript and Make Photocopies and Certify/Notarize them......you then send to the various schools you applied to while still having your Original Transcript with you. 1 Like |

Kendocity4u: You guys got it all wrong. What I meant was if you want to upload your document to uniassist, if its original you don't need to take it to court to certify it. 1 Like |

Stiflersammy: If you upload the Original(PDF) Copy on their Site......you have to still send them Certified/Notarized Photocopies by post.......you can upload Certified Copies as well on the Uniassist Portal.......anyone can fly. |

Kendocity4u: Bro now you are the one misinforming people. What I uploaded was just original document and they give me an OKAY. Infact one of them already gave me admission. I don't know were you got that from, you may be right or wrong. But I didn't send anybody any document through post. Thanks |
Re: General-german-student-visa-enquiries Part 8 by Kendocity4u: 6:01pm On Jun 15, 2020 |
Stiflersammy: Shaking my head........that you didn’t send hard copies of your documents to Uniassist doesn’t mean that’s the norm.......some schools like Rhine Waal that go through Uniassist doesn’t demand you send Hard Copy Of your Documents by post to Uniassist in Germany.......but most schoools that go through Uniassist requires you send Hard Copies by Post to Uniassist.......it seems you don’t know much about some of these things.......smh NB: Also note that some schools gave concession to Applicants going through Uniassist to upload only soft copies due to the present Covid19 situation......doesn’t make it the norm....doesn’t mean that same school will accept only Soft Copies by Next Application Window.....I dn tire abeg.....lol 1 Like |

Stiflersammy: Bro, take it easy. What the other guys are saying is the fact. The School you applied to probably has a different method from usual. Likewise, due to the corona virus lockdown issue, some could have considered soft copy to ease application. However, they would still require certification. Kindly make your contribution stating your peculiar situation. If not others could be mislead and fall into a pit. God bless us all 3 Likes |
