Ajimobi Allegedly Falls Into Coma Few Hours After Successful Lung Surgery by dre11(m): 9:40am On Jun 16, 2020
Few hours after the report that the immediate past governor of Oyo State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi is reportedly recovering from an alleged Coronavirus infection after lungs surgery in Lagos hospital, Ibadan has been thrown back into palpable fear over the sudden change in the health condition of the former governor.

INDEPENDENT reliably gathered that fear grip the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the immediate family of the former governor over the sudden change in his health condition on Monday night.

It was reportedly that despite the lung surgery and foreign medication administer on him, the Deputy National Chairman of the APC (South) reportedly tested positive of Covid-19 for the second time.

It was reportedly gathered that his wife, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, who was earlier reportedly tested positive was tested negative for the second time, and has been discharged.

But a reliable source close to the family said the former governor, who tested positive for the second time had an underlying ailment which was not unusual for men his age.

“The former governor has been in hospital for two weeks and his condition is not getting better but we are hoping for the best. The irony is that the person whom we believe he contracted the disease from has been discharged.

“However, the former governor has an underlying ailment which is slowing down his recovery, and made his health condition to get worse recently”.

It could be recalled that there was palpable fears in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, over the health of former Governor earlier due to his health condition.

He was said to be seriously ill two weeks ago, but trying to manage it at home, until it got worse and got admitted at a high brow private hospital in Lagos.

The health condition reportedly worsens at his Lagos home in the middle of the night two weeks ago after returning from the lavatory to his bedroom and slumped onto his bed in the presence of wife, Mrs Florence Ajimobi.

The former first lady was reportedly called in the security detail with whom she rushed the ex-Governor to the same hospital where the late Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Mallam Abba Kyari was being treated before he died.

It was alleged that Ajimobi suffered cardiac arrest and has been put in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

It was further alleged that Ajimobi had been diagnosed as having coronavirus and was in a coma, put on a ventilator at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

But few hours after it was reported that the former governor has recovered from the coma after lungs operation by foreign medical team, Daily Independent reliably gathered that there was sudden change in the condition, which put his family, members of the APC and people of Ibadan into palpable fear.

All efforts to speak with Ajimobi’s media Adviser, Mr Bolaji Tunji prove abortive as the call put to him was not picked and he did not return the calls.

Nigerian politicians do not exercise and hit the gym only for promotional purposes. I hope the man has written a will. There is no return from his condition. Who said the virus was a bad thing? It is ridding the country of good and bad people alike. Viva la Coronavirus.

I can't believe a newspaper outfit, not a blog wrote this story, vetted by an editor (s) and allowed to be published.
Aside the shabbiness of the story itself,it's littered with awful, nerve wrecking grammar and junk use of tenses.

I agree with you. You see, leadership requires a special type of wisdom.
Most state Governors will refuse to undertake some special projects because they feel it's the sole duty of the Federal Government . If the FG doesn't do it, the blame is not on me as a state Governor
But they are wrong ; I bumped into an old article of a minute of meeting by a Governor in the SE, and he explained he had been undertaking FG government jobs with state revenue and he will be reimbursed later by the FG
If other governors can emulate this, I don't think any one will pay attention to whatever the FG is doing or not doing

To hell with Constituted Authority. Yinka Ayefele will give us good music at his burial.

When Mr Constituted Authority dies please pack some money into his pockets so that he will have something to spend in hell. Useless he-goat. My Masters degree was held by LAUTECH for several years after I finished my programme because the school was permanently on strike during the regime of the narcissistic megalomaniac because Mr Constituted Authority refused to pay the university's workers salary

Lagos can't send him back, that would be illegal.
Moreover, he is in a private hospital.

Wipe the froth from your mouth.
The simple basic question is why have FG with enormous powers and resources in the first place?
Your submission is simply saying the wife should cook a very sumptuous meal for her husband and kids even if the husband refuses to work. One day when hits big with baba ijebu, he'll pay her back.
Responsibility is responsibility man. No reasonable individual makes excuses for failures!!
