Care4: Sorry, I don't do recommendations. However, looking through the thread, there are a number of good suggestions in response to your question. I will suggest you look at the mentioned stocks and identify a few that is in your circle of competency. Then, create a list. I can give my opinion on your picks but it still won't be a recommendation. Hope this helps. 1 Like |

Care4: I like the fact you are sticking to your strategy in making a foray into uncharted waters. I had the feeling we have dividend aristocrats in this forum and already had a watchlist of good dividend stocks to share for the benefit of all who may be interested. Apart from looking for the highest yielding dividend stocks, the best of them are those who have been consistent in the last 5, 10, 25, and 50 years. REITS are also very good proposition for dividend income because of the nature of their business and the mandatory law that makes it obligatory for them to pay out a huge percentage of their PAT as dividend annually. Energy Transfer (ET) $8.43 with EPS of $0.71 and div yield of 14.48% Starwood Property Trust (STWD) $15.32 with EPS of $1.29 and div yield of 12.48% Exxon Mobil (XOM) $49.21 with EPS of $2.49 and dvd yield of 7.07% White Horse Finance (WHF) $11.53 with EPS of $0.14 and div yield of 12.32% Phillips 66 Partners (PSXP) $40.57 with EPS of $.87 and div yield of 8.63% AT&T (T) $31.16 with EPS of $1.97 and div yield of 6.68% (5G candidate) Ventas Inc. (VTR) $41.58 with EPS of $1.44 and div yield of 7.64% Verizon (VZ) $56.79 with EPS of $4.44 and div yield of 4.33% (5G candidate) Canadian Natural Resources (CNQ) $18.15 with EPS of $1.89 and div yield of 6.88% LTC Properties (LTC) $39.36 with EPS of $3.10 and div yield of 5.79% Shaw Communication (SJR) $16.88 with EPS of $1.00 and div yield of 5.03% (This one will make people money during the 5G boom) Kimco Realty Corp (KIM) $14.06 with EPS of $0.75 and div yield of 7.96% The list is not exhaustive, but I have also been careful not to list companies with low dvd yield, and negative EPS that has high div yield record which is obviously deceptive. Low liquidity stocks have also been avoided to allow for easy sell off whenever an investor wishes to jump ship. Note also that every change in price automatically affects the dividend yield. Apart from dividend income, the above stocks have good upside potential for capital appreciation too for the patient. Due diligence advised. 9 Likes |

LadunaI: I think it's basically being sure of what you are buying from the onset while acknowledging you are not in control of a lot of happenings in the market. When stocks meet my various screening criteria amongst which are that they must be profitable businesses and have a good foreseeable mid to long term future using time tested indices like PE Ratio, EPS, Beta, ROI, Dvd Yield, PBV, etc, and of course some positive news/vibes and not negative sentiments around It, I procure a certain level of peace that serves me when it dips. I have had to pick a stock and the moment I buy, it dips. In most cases, I quickly buy the dip because I know what I bought and that move promptly "averages down" my entry price. Finally, I trade or invest money I don't need for my short or mid term expenses, so that affords me the patience required to make a kill in the end. That said, I have had to exit some trades at minimal loss in a bid to recover that loss and enter automatic profit by buying a more promising find. In the end, the stock market is a battle field of mind games. The most emotional people get wounded here. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Penboy: When a stock is rated to be overvalued, it simply means people are paying more than the true value for it. Most times, it is a result of overhype by analysts and market operators which creates some euphoria around a stock. "Gravity" (reality) always has a way of bringing back such stocks back to "earth" (real value) no matter how long it stays overpriced. Note that there are also stocks that become undervalued due to several factors. Smart investors like Warren Buffet utilise a strategy called "Value Investing" to identify these stocks and take position ahead of the crowd before the attention of the investing public is drawn to it. 5 Likes |

OakPearl: Quite happy at the feedback here. Everyone has been wonderful. I can observe some stocks being mentioned by more than one person and also matching my filters. Some of the filters include capital growth in the last 3-5yrs, less or around 50% Vs their 52 week High and for a start, share prices below $100 and of course consistent div payout. Some of the selected stocks matching the filters include CNP, PM, ET, STW, PSXP, VTR, CVX, XOM, WFC, BEN, LTC, KIM, MRK, OMC, AFL, BMY, ADM, EV, AEP, SJR. Surely, some of them were picked with my bias Cc: yok, iamsoulomon, Arduino, thesilentone 3 Likes |

davie01: MRNA belongs in a speculative sector that has made a lot of money for people in this pandemic era being a corona virus vaccine manufacturer themselves. There could still be room for further profits as they are close to the final phase of their corona virus vaccine programme which could have them get efficacy data by Thanksgiving period in the US, paving the way for an Emergency Use Authorisation approval. |

azeu73: I can't comment on the US version. I'm subscribed to their UK version. They tend to repeat a lot of their monthly recommendations which is not actually great but the counter argument is that if the company remains viable, then that's what the service is about. This might likely not be the case with the US version because they have a bigger pool of companies to choose from as compared to the UK. A 75% discount is good if it serves its purpose. They have different programs within the setup. A year trial at that price does not seem like a bad plan -if they recommend companies you don't currently have on your radar. Hope this helps. 1 Like |

But till today 17th JUN i am unable to buy Nigeria/ US stocks!!?? how long does the verification take ?? over 48Hours and The option of uploading Proof of address and Identification Document. Though i have already uploaded my Bank statement and Passport earlier.. pls who can give me the support number/ contact for both Bamboo and Trove.!!??. i should be buying now.. all my picks are green. |

KCnaira: My last two deposit on Bamboo has been direct transfer to an account number. See screenshot below for guidance.i just did a simulation to transfer 100 dollars, the second option is bank transfer, you click on it, it directs you to another page with the account number to transfer to (Don't use account number below, just for illustration) You make the transfer, come back to the page and indicate. If you still having challenges, use the help options in the app and start a conversation. Or if you are twitter , go to their handle and send a DM ( I use any and I get response) As for trove, I don't use it but they have a contact number, hopefully someone provide it for you or you take your time check last 5 pages of the thread to look for it. 1 Like

My people, please lets be guided on all this speculative trading. Invest long term and lets forget the get rich quick mentality. Just saw this today and it saddened me as i know quite a number of people who would be caught in this cross fire. https://www.cnbc.com/2020/06/15/hertz-says-it-expects-stockholders-to-lose-all-their-money-in-filing-for-selling-more-stock.html 6 Likes 1 Share |

tommieen:Honestly speaking, people are always entice by the romance of the market quote, creating an illusion that they can make quick money by taking advantage on the short term volatility of the market. With my experience from the stock market, I can bodly tell you the more you trade the less you make. The only way you can make money from the market is with the help of a "LONG TERM PATIENCE" please invest for the Long term. Have been with this thread for a while and I am very glad people, mostly the young ones on this forum are getting expose to investing in the U.S stock market. But please don't be seduce by market distraction, it does not end well. If you just can't stay away from market seduction, just try and only use 10% of your money for speculation at most 20% and use the remaining 90% for long term investing. In the long run you will see which one of the two accounts have made you financially secure. I am willing to stake my both hands on the long term account. Speculating is scam. 6 Likes 1 Share |

narit: Please if am planning to invest for long term, do I need to be bordered about the second stock market crash rumour or is it wise I use half of my fund to buy stocks now then wait till the end of the year to buy stocks with the other half of my fund. I intend to invest in Facebook, Apple, Amazon Microsoft and Google Spending time in the market seems better than timing the market. I will appreciate several advices |
Re: Us Stocks Pick Alert by Nobody: 2:27pm On Jun 17, 2020 |
Topson88: Halving your funds might be better because if a drop happens, you'd be half as stressed as if all your money was in the market, plus you could then use the remaining half to buy the dip and get a better average for your purchases before selling when the markets go up. The stocks you mentioned are solid ones that will likely be more resistant than most other stocks in the event of a crash, and they are also likely to come back up faster than most other stocks, so in short, they are good if you want to enter the market securely. Either way, be cautious and make sure you understand what you're risking. A crash can happen and leave the market bearish for a long, long time (the 2008 crisis left a bear market that lasted 17 months, for instance). In short, things are very volatile now and nothing is assured. |
