Good day Seniors! Please I would love to have information on the Cost of living and after-school care for kids (over 6years) in FREDERICTON, NEW BRUNSWICK (assuming both parents are working). I have come across comments that many with Canadian work experience will be back in the job search pool (post Covid19), narrowing the chances of newly landed immigrants in the already populated big cities (the usual suspects - Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, etc). Hence, I am believing that a relatively smaller town - like Fredericton - might be a safe choice for faster integration. Please what would be your advice on landing in Fredericton? How is life generally in Fredericton? I will appreciate any information from landed seniors regarding the above, and would love to connect with anyone in Fredericton. There is very little detailed information online (from individuals' perspectives), when compared to most of the usual landing destinations. Please we are a family of 4, so I am trying to make the best decision for my family. If I were going alone, I would have braved it anywhere. Thanks in advance. 6 Likes 1 Share |

Please is there anyone who went through the express entry route and is already working as a registered Nurse in Canada? I need information on what and what to do after landing. Thanks as I await your response. |

Good evening all, Please is there anyone that landed during this covid period in any of the provinces? If yes, kindly assist with the following info, "landing gists", POE formalities, SIN, healthcare, housing/accomodation, shopping during the mandatory 14 days quarantine and any other relevant information will be appreciated. This question stems from the fact that covid-19 is the new normal. Things have changed. Anyone landing post covid will not have same "landing gists" as those who landed before covid-19. This information will also go a long way to prepare those that will be landing when the airspace is opened or via chartered flights. Thanks all 14 Likes |

Thatgirlll: You can't be a registered nurse on arrival in canada, even if u have phD in nursing in naija. What you can do is to apply to school for LPN which takes 2yrs to complete or RN which takes 4yrs to complete. Your best bet is to go for fast track programme, applying with your naija BSc, though you will still write perequsite bfo you will be admitted, this takes about 2yrs to complete RN. Meanwhile, I dey naija with u. Not in Canada yet. 7 Likes |

Fortissimo502: Thank you so much for this. I relayed your suggestions to her and she has confirmed from the college that the Independent learning centre course would suffice. |
