Thank you for answering that. You said and I quote, “ I was a true buccaneer, I used d word 'Was' cause I'm no longer a buccaneer“ Did you denounce or you had some ordeals that made you decide not be part and parcel of this devilish association. Macro231101: 1 Like |

Chris525: How can you say they meant well when they engaged in murderous initiation rites and processes, did blood oaths and ordered hits that actual people were killed? If the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do? If the foundation of a thing is wrong or dysfunctional you can actually predict its disastrous end. It's not rocket science. They are not as smart and well-intended as you lot are trying so hard to paint them. They were short sighted. Myopic. They lacked wisdom. They could not see far. There is a way that seemeth right to a man but the end thereof is destruction and death. Myopia. That's the diagnosis for the founding fathers' condition. 11 Likes |

We are saying about the same thing. Some people think to make Nigeria great the the old politicians have to be killed. You can give them credit for the intention (to make Nigeria great) & fault them for the process (murder). Thats about what I did. We are on the same side. DeeMain: |

Macro231101: It's great that you want to help my research. I'm actually interested in knowing how members learn the language (the encrypted one, that is). Do you go for special classes or you are taught at initiations? Do all BAN members know the language very well? Can you have a full discussion with the language? I want to know how central the "cappings" are to Bucanneer communication. 2 Likes |

Saltzman00: From the onset, my intention concerning Buccaneer cult language was 100% clear. You shouldn't work yourself up too much. I learnt everything you saw in my posts without going through the initiation process or associating closely with any known BAN member. If I can decode your language and your "13:13 capping", you should know that others can too. Nothing is a secret these days. By revealing these things here, we may do some good in removing the mystery behind the cults. Take a cold bottle of beer, relax, and enjoy. 35 Likes |

ndoeyopbennet:you sound so funny and interesting at the same time and that’s why it’s like the 5th time I’m coming on here to check on ur write ups...listen my brother for what it’s worth I’ll score you close to 65%based on your research but you see all these has got an entire different meaning to an everyday buccaneer(I mean one who is still sailing actively in an higher institutions)That part is where you really need a true member past or present to help you out ...but mind you,I still strongly believe posting these write ups here would do more harm than good as far as we got younger ones who are yet to get into the higher institutions...(now I’m referring to every write up that has been posted here about OT’s of any cult group...let’s tell the stories and warn them but not push them into harms way all in the name of casting or better still reveling these things to them ...just like the ex buccaneer i already asked if you needed my help but it really can’t be vital parts that I’m sure would endanger anybody who isn’t or how wasn’t a member at any particular time...I hope you do understand me now 6 Likes |

Re: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by ndoeyopbennet: 6:13pm On Jun 17, 2020 |
Saltzman00: Thank you for agreeing to answer a few of my questions. Like I said before, my aim in this has to do with how language is used to reinforce cult culture and that is what I'm mostly concerned with. I won't ask you questions pertaining to your initiation rites, cult rituals or violent encounters. I believe I know those already. I have more than 50 BAN documents in my possession and these documents do explain many things. However, you are right in your submission that speaking with a current member may be useful in making more sense of the information at my disposal. When I was designing the method for my research, I had to use a mixture of non-participant observation, content analysis and interviews. For the non-participant observation, it was clear that I wouldn't be allowed to witness certain aspects of the cults' activities. Apart from that, I am working with up to 5 cult groups and I can't possibly have observatory leeway into all. I had to use the online medium. I became a member of virtual groups and website forums and I've been doing my participant observation virtually (for ethical reasons, I had to seek consent in some cases). With regard to the content analysis, I have many documents, including the official handbook of many of the groups. I also have poems, essays, songs and other exchanges that can be analysed. I've interviewed some persons (they are very secretive). I've not made real progress with my interviewees so far. However, other things have covered for this. I'm giving you this background so that you can rest assured that I do not have any ulterior motive other than my research. One of the major challenges I've had with BAN (unlike other groups) is that members seem too committed to it and therefore, are unwilling to share important insights on how language is exclusively used to create a true sense of belonging. If you are willing to answer my questions, that'll be great. I've asked some before (to Macro231101) and you can still help me answer those ones. However, more specifically, I want to know how much value your group gives to your cult language? Have you ever encountered situations where non-initiates learnt the language and impersonated? What happened to them? Would you say the group places more value on personal identification (via decknames) or on the "capping" abilities of the member? If you're not comfortable answering these questions publicly, you can send me a pm (although I'd very much like if you answer them here as others can learn too). If you have to say something sensitive, you can use your "13:13" lingo. I'm able to read it well enough. 10 Likes |

ndoeyopbennet:yes u can use the language for discussion, I think buccaneer is the only cult group that has a full cult Lang, u can be communicating with your member and non members won't understand a thing.... And yes there is OT class and there are still several ways u can learn it.... It's no easy to learn the language though, e nor easy my brother, if I remembered how I Learnt mine I swear most times I cry because u will be thinking are these not your brothers.... Maybe I should write all my ordeal as a Member of the buccaneer confra 4 Likes |

ndoeyopbennet:About non - Initiates knowing it, yeah, we have encountered such, like 3 times, 1 came and was capping when we approached him he said he was a lord, but I didnt blive him, we took him to our kman from there we did ISl, and started check balancing him, if I remember Dat scenario it was very funny though, d guy regretted d day he was Born, na 1 simple but hard OT I throw give am Dat every real nybens must know d guy was just stuttering and failed woefully... And what we place more values on, As a lord u must know your deck names, but the capping is d highest.... We always cap that na your OT go deliver you.. So if u get enough capping nobody fit ride u but at a time OT na water e nor dae full basket 6 Likes |

Chris525:Personally I'm enjoying the research, it's more enlightening.. It's exposing a lot of things which ordinarily you won't know if you're not a member of any cult.... The researcher is doing a great job by making his findings public for all to see, it's not easy to carry out a research of this type.. 21 Likes 1 Share |

Macro231101: Your experience will be very much appreciated (for me and for the purpose of the thread). It's interesting to know about the "OT classes". When you say that it's not easy to learn it. I must ask if all members are forced to learn it. What if you don't want to be "OT tested or rugged"? |
Re: My Story As A Cult Member........initiation Phase Included... by Nobody: 7:13pm On Jun 17, 2020 |
ndoeyopbennet:u must learn it, if u don't learn it, dae might throw 1 OT to u and if u couldn't answer na sorry go be your case... Especially during ISL or a ranking member can come to your house and check you.... So u must be OT tested |

Macro231101: One of the persons I interviewed before now told me that he became a BAN member after a failed attempt at impersonation. He told me that he learnt some of the words and the means of identification from the internet and then he started talking with a member on 2go (years ago). Eventually, he met with the member and he was asked to identify himself. He said that he was very eager to do so (since he knew how to). Unfortunately for him, there seems to be a process that governs identification and he didn't follow the process. He was quickly ousted but the BAN dude was merciful. One thing led to another and he was ini-ed eventually. He told me that BAN language is deeper than it is. He also said that not all members even understand the complexity of their language. Personally, I think the unique BAN language has a way of creating a stronger bond for the members. However, I also want to know the place of those typical BAN numbers in this language. I understand that the codes 231 and even 101 have some correlations with the tenets and guiding principles of the group but other than these, do they have any other symbolism or deeper meanings? 1 Like |

If u understand that of Ahoy (pyrate) U will fully grasp Dat of sealord, they kind of d same OT, Just small differences and means of identity and deck names and pieces.
