ahiboilandgas: Femi Otedola pocketed N65 billion in the deal, Prudent energy guys over paid for the business and they are left with an empty can. He must have used up to 70% of the fund to buy dollars. Femi is smart, he knew the party will soon be over in the petroleum products marketing business. He spun off the power sector subsidiary of Forte, and only sold the down stream business. I think Femi will play a major in the Dangote Refinery business 3 Likes |

ahiboilandgas: Not a bad deal for him, his debts are worth more than assets seized, I guess the debts were bought by AMCON from the banks at a discount. Ifeanyi Ubah of Capital Oil is still indebted to the tune of over N110 billion, I wonder how those guys manage to sleep at night 1 Like |

From the perspective of those of us in this group, this is bad news. From a government/ CBN perspective this is good news and bad news. Good news before it is easier to manage a 4% interest rate than 18% interest rate. Bad news in the sense that people are still not willing to invest in the real sector. unite4real: 3 Likes |
