Negotiations, dialogues, consultations even campaign are part of politics. That one refuses to pander to the whims of one person doesn't mean he should break the rules of the game.
There's no deity involved, just interests.
Don't make it seem as if what he's doing is out of place, he doesn't own PDP; there are power brokers there too, and he would need to build bridges.

The problem is that if you have pleaded or presented other certificates to the same body in the past under oath that are later found to be fakes or unsubstantiated. That means you lied on oath and guilty of perjury.
