Spiff20: Just free that one. He thinks getting to moon is an achievement when others are already in Mars. Comparing Akwa Ibom to Rivers is an insult. Akwa Ibomites move out of their state even till date because nothing to do there. The only thing that attracts people to it is Mobil. Even with mobil it's mostly offshore staff that live there, 90% of the contractors and vessels still go to mobil locations from PH/Onne. 80% of Mobil contractors reside in PH. Rivers gives you more opportunities than any other state in Nigeria bar Lagos and Abuja. |

EBEk101: Here are some of the reasons why people migrate, Factors such as poverty, lack of economic opportunity, land shortage and low living standards at home function as push factors, while prosperity, opportunity, available employment and higher living standards in the place of destination are pull factors. |

Rivers people rarely leave Rivers State so don't see much of the rest of Nigeria. Don't blame them. It's not their fault. |

Fuckyoumod: Wow so Wike has completed 8 years? I believe this your post is just for cheap likes. In Rivers building factories is not the sole responsibility of the government rather private enties do it as well without noise making or opening thread to celebrate. A state like AKS decides to build factories, does not mean others should do same. The amount of factories alone in Rivers already even before Wike is more than anything AKS has till date. Please where is the job in AKS apart from civil service and keke driving? 1 Like |

EBEk101: MR. Man, all over the world, the primary reason for migration is economy. People usually move from Poorer economies to Richers one. Since Rivers is far Richer than Akwa Ibom, what will we go to do there. |

B2B5000: We should leave Rivers to your state abi. Abeg mention the name of your state. Let's compare your state and Rivers. |
Re: Port Harcourt Pleasure Park And The Legacy Of A “new” Administration. by Abagworo(m): 11:16pm On Jun 17, 2020 |
24SEVEN: Not exactly true. Chinese are a million times richer than Africa but know how to harness business opportunities from us. Truth is that Akwaibomites are far more hardworking and innovative than Rivers people. Akwaibom of today is even Richer than Rivers if oil is the standard applied but they don't sit down and depend on what will come out as handout from oil exploration companies. Some Rivers people especially Ogoni and Etche are hardworking too but most others believe they are comfortable with handouts. 1 Like |
