Is It Safe Buying UK Used Laptop? by seankafor(m): 4:25am On Jun 18, 2020 |
Honestly am a kinda person that likes my things fresh outta box.. Last time I bought a fairly used stuff was over 8 years and it was a phone..long story short, it ended in tears. So since then I decided that am not buying anything that's not brand new from a reputable outlet or online shopping mall like jumia or the likes.. All my gadgets and properties has been brand new and I never regretted it.. even my last Samsung phone I bought at 3chub, after 3 days the mouthpiece started acting up and I had to return it, they changed it for me with a brand new one without collecting a penny from me.. that's the luxury of buying a brand new from a reputable store. Now back to my main of this thread.. I wanna get a good sound laptop that can run high end graphics ,video editing, web designing and lot other hard tasks fluently even gaming.. But my budget is slightly around 150-200k... Now I hate buying stuffs I am gonna regret in future, Like this I don't wanna go for lower specs that I'll later regret buying.. so apparently it's either these specs or nothing...that's me.. Core i5 or i7 8-16 GB of ram with like 2-4 dedicated graphics 500gb-1tb SSD ( can manage HDD) Among other stuffs ( you know what am talking about).. So am thorn between thoughts because my budget seems to be way below my specs if am gonna maintain on strictly brand new.. But if I opt for fairly used or UK used, it fails within my budget..but am afraid.. I detest anything used because I know what am afraid of.. I have no time for back and forth and cases upandan. So folks and bosses in the house..what's the best advice.. Do anyone have any advice or any knowledge of laptop with my specs that I can buy for that amount? Or better still, should I give UK used or faily used a try?( I'll need a whole lot of convincing probably with advantage and disadvantage) And 2... What other stuffs can I look out for when getting a laptop for the first time? Thanks for your contributions in advance.. |

Hello, once beaten, twice shy you already have a phobia of buying fairly used items due to your previous experience what you need now is integrity with gurantees, buying a fairly used laptop has its own advantage and disadvantage, if you are on a low budget you can buy fairly used laptop but it entails you asked questions and check out what you buying properly If you ain't sure ask for help from someone who is an engineer to assist you. If you heart tells you to stick to buying a new one sure new laptops comes with gurantee but mind you also have to also consult someone who knows the market and sell gurantee laptops cos even in the market there refurbished laptops branded as new one and repackaged to into a new cartoon so the choice is yours i could help you to buy either both i sell fairly used laptops ordered from US, but at the moment i don't sell new laptops but i have link with gurantee laptops with count is your budget, call me or whatsapp me when you are ready on 08023900627. My brother, get a core i7 with atleast 6th Generation. 7th, 8th or 9th Gens will also give you the best value for money. I'll also advice you get a Laptop with both SSD and HDD Drives(Hybrid)...SSDs are known to "up" the loading times of applications and are 5 times faster than HDDs Also try and get atleast a 4GB dedicated graphics even though your budget at present might not fit into this sphere. 4GB will save you a whole lotta hassles e.g a 1050ti can do the work. What I'm basically saying is....a 4GB will handle your tasks seemingly better than a 2GB dedicated...that doesn't mean a 2GB won't also perform some tasks but a 2GB won't run high end video graphics/editing and gaming for you. As for US used Laptops, I'll advice you to patronise a reputable store. I mean a store you can trust doing business with. A reputable store means you will be given a guarantee and can equally go back there should incase problems arise. I got my US used laptop from a store over a year ago and it has never given me issues aside when I had to replace the screen just last month. I'll personally advice you get a Hp Omen Laptop...budget might seem a constraint but they are durable and will equally serve you better. As for buying New vs US/UK used, I'll advice you to just follow your heart. Personally, most of my gadgets have always been US/UK used and I have never for once complained or had issues about them (maybe because I thoroughly inspect them sha) plus i buy from a trusted store or from someone i know/a good referral. 7 Likes
