The 12 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP rear camera and the 32MP front camera is such a good aspect for the smartphone and I think Helio P22 processor also suits the budget buyers.

pls guys I need help in recovering my files

I was using my phone yesterday when all of a sudden the screen stopped responding. I thought the phone was hanging so I hard rebooted(I couldn't shut down because no part of the screen was responding) thinking it will solve the whole issue but nothing still, the screen was still not responding.
I waited for the battery to drain so I could use volume button down and power button to go to factory mode and reboot from there but still the same. I was sha pressing different stuffs to see if I will see anything to know the issue with the screen.
That's how I went to click on "clear eMMc" oo. I was not sure what it meant but I clicked on it thinking it will ask me "yes" or "no" but the next thing it showed was "clearing data". I rebooted the phone immediately, about 5 seconds, when it showed "clearing data” but when it rebooted it was showing " welcome".
Pls don't welcome me anywhere I just want my files ��. How can 3 years worth files be deleted in 5 seconds just like that ��.
I've not touched the phone since yesterday night , I can't bear to see that all my files have been deleted ��
I don't even have my WhatsApp recently backed up.
Pls help me recover my files

That's quite unfortunate. From what I know about android and the 'Clear eMMC' option in the factory test menu, I'm sorry to break it to you but your files are gone unless you've got some back up somewhere either on your PC or in the cloud because that option formats and rewrites the DATA partition to 'zeros' which is the highest formatting level that can be achieved. The data partition is then repopulated at first boot with essential app data and other system files.

I'm truly sorry for your loss.

Is there any way I can salvage my WhatsApp though so that it does not start from the very beginning? (I have a local backup for WhatsApp saved on a system. The one that shows 'databases' , can it be of any use?)

Regarding your WhatsApp:

1. The answer to your question is 'YES' (can it be of any use?)

2. Do you have an sdcard already in the phone before the format? If yes, this would make restoring your chat history very easy because your sdcard will most likely contain an up-to-date backup.

Yes, it will. Just copy the entire 'Whatsapp' folder to the root of your sdcard or the root of the phone's internal storage
