Mainz dedicated their shock 2-0 away win over Borussia Dortmund to Taiwo Awoniyi.

A fine gesture indeed.

What he meant to say was....Etebo was bossing Stoke.

If he was bossing Stoke why did they send him out on loan to Getafe, only s player that is considered not valuable and or surplus to thier requirements is allowed to go on loan in mid season

The question should really be what's the fate of Werner because he has to hit the ground running and perform.

There is no pressure on Tega he is established and proven. Werner is not on the EPL.

Morata came to Chelsea with bigger expectations he did not perform, where is he now❓

precisely what I mean the manager is going beyond his stated duties to ensure our national team players are in tip top shape. in the past when players like anichebe and Obasi were injured they complained of being totally neglected and abandoned. under rohr at least I've heard of him also sending the trainer to Ebuehi apart from also visiting players struggling with game time

TheSuperNerd:
The trainer sent is being paid by Rohr himself. Not the NFF. Just for more clarity. wink

Well, his playing time will reduce that's for sure so he may need to consult Batshuayi and Giroud for some advice on how Benchlife looks like.
But shaa... he remains in the picture of things at Chelsea in that striking role and will still get games. Giroud is third choice.
Thing is, it depends on how Lampard sets his team up. But I can say with certainty that Tammy will likely not start as much games as he did in the soon to be concluded 19/20 season.

You have your opinion but I just feel you guys should watch ehi play for the eagles before you conclude

I've been watching ehzibue since his days at Holland seriously he is a decent RB then he was not really a full back sef he was a right wing back and winger
I chose him coz of Rohr proposed style of play he said he want an offensive fullback that was why I choose him aina

Apples and oranges. Morata went to Chelsea on the back of a 15 league goals campaign at Real Madrid majorly as a Super sub.

Werner is a proven goals banger joining Chelsea on the back of a 26 league goals and counting campaign at Leipzig.

Morata's highest ever goals count in a league season is 15.
Werner had 16 in the Bundesliga last season (18/19).

Morata have played more career games compared to Werner yet Werner has more goals and assists than Morata.

The expectations on Werner is higher abeg. 26 is far above 15.

exactly! then some analysts will be moaning that rohr is just collecting free money. the trainer he now sent was it on the bill of the NFF? little things like this matter at least players who got injured and recovered won't in the future say they were abandoned

Yes bro. Thats the reason Anichebe stopped playing for us. He got injured under Siasia's watch. Nobody from NFF or even the coaching crew asked him how far.

He had outgrown stoke...no longer motivated. He was player of the season. His ambitions and that of Stoke did not match. The loan move was a win- win for both parties.

Yes the possibility is there and that is why I also said it depends on how Lampard sets his team up per game or as a whole for the coming season. But with Ziyech, Pulisic, CHO, etc...I honestly dont think Werner will play wide so much even though he can. Perhaps he will feature there a few times but again it all comes down to how Lampard sets them up. And I think Lampard will prefer using proper wing options outwide more times than he will use Werner outwide but time will tell.

Another possibility is a 2 man attack like Werner played in sometimes at Leipzig alongside a bigger/taller striker like Schick or Poulsen. He can have that with Tammy too if Lampard permits it.

The only advantage Tammy has over Werner as a striker is that Werner is not the kind of striker that does hold up plays or sticks up front as a target man. He is very mobile and always on the move. Tammy is a target man and poacher who can hold up play and also has enough pace to move around but definitely not as fast or as mobile as Werner.

Morata was not even a suberb player before Chelsea got him

Chelsea got a big name and not a big player ,they saw he had played for Juve and Madrid then they paid 70 million for him

Schmeichel on Ighalo:

“I think he’s been one of the most positive surprises ever,” he said.

“First of all his personality around the club, he’s been a revelation around the club. Everybody has tagged on and liked him straight away.

“When you have that kind of personality, it changes the whole team. Someone who brings a laugh into the dressing room, rather than coming in grumpy or not saying anything.

“It changes the dynamics. And what he’s done on the pitch, that really has surprised me.

“I was kind of confused…because it was last day and it looked as if they were just needing and looking to bring someone in.

“But that’s not the truth. And what he’s done is just fantastic.

“And another thing as well, someone like him, all of his life the only thing he really wanted to achieve was to play for Manchester United.

“Now that has been cut short by circumstances that are out of everybody’s control. And for what he’s done, in the very few games he’s ended up playing, it would have been heartbreaking if that was to stop.

“I think he might not be a starter but he might be somebody you can throw into the mix. You’ve seen him in the Europa League, like Ole himself, he can come on and change a game.

“Nobody, nobody, knows that better than the Manchester United manager. The value of having someone on the bench who can change a game, so I’m really happy about that.”

I heard the interview on radio Akon spoke specifically on his solar energy project as well. And that the Senegalese government didn't allow him to get a piece of the cake from other big industries they had in their control, but only allowed him in the untapped solar energy industry that was still very new. I don't think he came off as if Senegal/Africa was backward. Many black Americans especially those in the entertainment industry have spoken about the truth about Africa because they have gone and seen for themselves.

Those who think Africa are backward are mainly those who refuse to travel or listen to those that have. As a matter of fact traveling opens your eyes. You will be surprised what comes out of the mouths of lots of Americans who just stay put in their domains. This is not limited to them alone. If you have the chance travel and see. Experience different cultures too.

Partizan Belgrade centre-forward Umar Sadiq has welcomed interest from Manchester United.

The former Rangers and Roma striker is in career best form with Partizan and has been scouted by United in the last week.

Now the Nigerian has spoken specifically about United's rumoured interest in his signature.

"It's a big compliment for me as a player, but believe me, nothing is accidental," Sadiq told Republika.

“In Partizan, we work thoroughly before every game and not only when we talk about tactics and video analysis, but also about the human relationship. Whether it is Chief Milosevic or someone else from the expert staff, they are always there for us.

“Partizan helped me a lot in my career, I found my way and now I just follow what they ask of me. I think this is just the beginning of my success, and the motivation is there."

He added: “As for Manchester United, I think that they were surprised by our game in Belgrade and that is why they played the best team during the visit, which was not the case afterwards. That speaks enough about respect for Partizan."
