Exactly this is a common mistake everyone makes when it comes to "Lagos". They confuse the STATE with the CITY. Lagos is a single city WITHIN Lagos STATE. The CAPITAL of Lagos state is Ikeja. Nobody considers Buffalo City as part of New York CITY just because it's in New York STATE.

Nairobi county is divided into constituencies from what I can gather.Let say you are moving from completely build up areas like roysambu,Westland,langata,kasarani,to other areas of Nairobi metros like mathare why do you still have expanse of vast land in between? In lagos in between each local government is a completely build up area.In accra inbetween each district is a completely build up area.

Around 2012 or so I got to know about Eco City,.
I watched a documentary on it and I saw them reclaiming the sea and how those molded concretes where used to support and all that.
Later I watched another which showed the whole planning, constructing roads, sewage system and all that.
To cut a long story short, I have been monitoring the whole show of ECO City so don't think you are giving me any new information I didn't know.
Even Abuja, I watched documentaries of it.. Calling ECO Atlantic a city doesn't make it a separate city from Lagos because it was build within Lagos City.
Abuja and eco are two separate things so don't mix it up..

EkoAtlantic is a new city built on land reclaimed from the Atlantic ocean. It's different from Lagos city. Unless you want to tell us the Atlantic ocean is Lagos city..

Must be the world smallest city . If it was granted city status - it just for admin/management purpose - but for all purpose and intent it part of Lagos - like Tatu city or Northland or many "mini-cities" in other cities.
