The proscribed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has begged former militant turned pipeline security consultant, Asari Dokubo to stop attacking him on social media.

Kanu it was learnt reached out to Dokubo after the ex-militant attacked him in a series of videos labelling him a scam and fraudster. Dokubo also asked Kanu to swear that he has not been receiving money from Nigerian governors.

According to sources close to Kanu, he reached out to Dokubu because his credibility was questioned by some top members of IPOB.

"Kanu is very worried that Asari Dokubo's attacks will expose him. He has been questioned by some of those close to him and he fears that their unwavering trust has began to shake," a source close to Kanu who craved anonymity said

The source explained that Dokubo's attacks has also put a dent in the relationship Kanu enjoys with those funding him. "Some prominent Nigerians who fund Kanu fear that they could be named by Dokubo, they also do not like the fact that more IPOB members are posting videos against Kanu.

According to the insider, it is not clear if Dokubo will accept Kanu's advances because he was deeply hurt by the IPOB's leader attacks on him on the South South.

It would be recalled that Dokubo has been attacking Kanu in the last few weeks, his videos were also shared on Twitter were it trended at number one.
