David another of his favoured servants is said to have employed deception on more than one occasion and the only occasion god speaks up who gets the punishment? An new born baby. God goes ahead to deceive a king to his death.

In the new testament Jesus commends a servant for his deception and god is supposed to send a strong delusion to cause people to be deceived.
