They need to finish the akwa ibom port asap and decongest the annoying traffic in lagos. Hopefully this will make people move out of lagos and do businesses in other southern states.

Ibom Deep Seaport And Lekki Seaport To Start Operation 2021 Federal Government - The Executive Secretary, Nigerian Shippers’ Council, Hassan Bello

“Based on this, we are also glad that two new important ports will operate in 2021. The Lekki Deep Sea Port and the Ibom Deep Sea Port.

These are very important contributions of government through public private partnerships. Lekki, for example, will create about 180,000 jobs.

The same thing with Ibom and I want to congratulate the government of Akwa Ibom and the Federal Government in all these PPPs.”

I am not sure there has been any report showing state of progress on these ports. I'm sure if you go there, the site is mostly empty.

Having said that journalists in Nigeria are the laziest in the world. Both print, radio and TV. All they do is follow politician up and down and quote verbatim with little or no independent analysis like Newsweek, Time, Economist, Wall Street Journal etc.

So no newspaper or TV station can do a report on these projects and take a drone to take ariel clips as part of their report? Meanwhile YouTube is full of project reports of so many foreign projects - airports, dams, bullet trains, nuclear fusion facilities, and etc.

What most people confuse as Lekki Port is actually Dangote Port which is also in the same area as the Lekki Port but is a different but privately owned facility! undecided[/quote]

There is Lekki seaport. Individuals don't own ports. Dangote has a jetty.
