AJLB: If you can, let your school interact with WES tru their contact us form and select reason of contact as "OTHERS"... the correspondence to avail them your transcript will continue from there... i hope this helps. |

Lajiniran:Hello, based on age, your wife is in a better position to be the PA. But she will need to do say CIMA, BCS or CIPM to make her educational qualifications be two or more certificates. Also, both of you will need to write IELTS and endeavour to max out (LRWS: 8.5, 8, 7.5, 7.5) - this might look like a tall order but it is doable. Worst case scenario, you two should attempt to max out 3 components of the IELTS. You also need to evaluate your MSc by the necessary evaluation body. Same is required of your wife. But let her make plans for the second certificate she will use to augment her BSc first before going ahead to evaluate hers. With this, you guys are looking at CRS around the region of 460+ which is not too bad to get ITA in future draws. Again, you two, after IELTS and ECA can create two profiles and make Adminstrative Assistant as your primary occupation as it gets nomination from Alberta province. Provincial nomination is not a bad one if you get it instead of putting all eggs in EE basket. So whoever gets ITA first will continue with the application between you two afterwards. I hope this answers your question. Cheers. 3 Likes |

Influential101:@bishoplakes I advise you go for acca as it is Shorter(3 courses, you could even get an exemption it you studied certain courses, cima is 4 courses) Faster(result Is out immediately and certificate 72 hours unlike cima that certificate takes 6 weeks) Cheaper(registration is 16-20k and 40k per paper, sending to Wes is free and electronic unlike cima that would have to pay for dhl from uk to Canada ) Pass mark is 50% as to cima's 100% out of 150%. 11 Likes 7 Shares |

Raymum: I would honestly advice you try evaluating it to be sure...all the options we know or have is because people tried it and shared testimonies... There are several certificates that people have brought here and many said it won't fly but they went on to evaluate and it was successful... Just try your luck . 1 Like |

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Kayoe33: 9:46pm On Jun 21, 2020 |
ExpressEntry:Hello..... from the much I know about this, the degree you choose to evaluate will depend on a few factors. You can evaluate your MPH with WES If; 1. You don't want to pursue a medical career in Canada(Afterall they are not that liberal in employing doctors). 2. You are not ready for the long process of MCC evaluation. On the otherhand, if the reverse is the case ie you want to try your luck with the medical career over there and you are ready to calm down for MCC to do the evaluation, then do the MCC evaluation of the medical degree. The good thing about your situation is that whichever you do, the MPH or the Medical degree, either of them would give you the same points and EE does not care whether you graduate with a degree and have something else as your NOC code. I hope this helps. Cheers. |

[Thank you quote author=ambo1 post=90901430] I am in the same boat too. I think you should exercise patience, so when u get to Canada you can do the different HR certifications available to you. Mind you, different provinces have different bodies that are in charge of certifying HR professionals. For instance Ontario has a different body that Alberta. The question that comes to mind is, do you have a higher degree in HR? Such as Master's or PhD? Because there are bridging programs that can help internationally trained HR professionals by exempting them from some courses. To answer your question, I think the CIPM which is very good in Nigeria, might not be of use in Canada. In my opinion I feel it's only a higher degree like a master's and PhD that can do you a little good. There are several colleges and universities in Canada that offer short courses in HR that can be of utmost benefit to you when you arrive. If you plan to land and reside in Ontario province you can Google HRPA they are in charge of the CHRP which is the body for HR professionals in the province of Ontario. Have I left anything? Please my elders add to it.thanks. [/quote] 1 Like |

Glowing1: Best advice. You are still below 30 years. Begin your WES go and do CIMA, or CIPM immediately before you clock 30. By the time you should be done with WES by Gods grace the CIMA or CIPM will ge making progress. Then begin your IELTS prep. Why? If you do IELTS now, I strongly feel you will come back to ask how can you boost your points and by then age may not be on your side and when you eventually want to pursue another degree, your IELTS could Expire and you have to redo it again. So to avoid casualties all I advice is that you begin your WES, then immediately begin a second degree to boost your chances. In addition just start getting yourself acquainted with IELTS materials so when it's time for it you will not be stranded. God bless. All things being equal after WES, CIPM or CIMA you would be 29 by then and when you passed IELTS mostly if you maxed out you will be on 474. And that is good to go for ITA first or second round before you clock 30. 4 Likes 1 Share |

Good day, I would like to know if anyone here has written IELTS with MOD recently. Also were there good safety measures put in place? In terms of spacing. Secondly, did you have to wear headphones for listening test? Were you given writing materials or you came with yours. I would appreciate your kind response. Thank you |
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by crespo67: 12:28pm On Jun 22, 2020 |
Hi, I wrote IELTS with MOD two weekends ago. Yes, there is adequate spacing. They typically admit 20 candidates per test venue. They give you headphones. You come with your pencils for L,R,W sections. You use a general pen which they sanitize after anyone touches it to sign the attendance sheet. I wrote twice with MOD in the last one month. My first experience was bad because they weren't organized in that center and there was a power cut during my listening section and I missed answering 4 questions. After several emails, I was offered a free retake of the test. My second test was a much better experience, they were very organized. I wish you all the best. chigrad: 1 Like 2 Shares |
