I saw a job post on upwork yesterday and decided to try my hands on it,though I didn't submit proposal for it. please help me check it out.

About two centuries ago,Joel was diagnosed "terminally ill".He has a little chance of survival and was given few months to live.
All known medical solutions were tried...
...some were effective for a while but the disease kept resisting the efficacy of the medications administered to him.

All he could reflect on was how worry,anger and depression contributed to,and probably helped cause,his disease. He began to wonder if, " if illness could be caused by negativity,can positivity attract sound health?

He decided to make an experiment of himself. One of the most positive activities he knew was laughter. He gathered all the funny movies he was never interested in like, Keaton,Chaplin,fields,the Marx brothers(this was before VCRs). The agony caused by this disease was so great he couldn't sleep. After watching a very funny movie that made him laugh for 10 solid minutes non-stop,he found out that he was relieved and able to sleep for few hours!

He constantly indulge in making himself available at any slight opportunity to laugh. He was fully recovered and live more productive and healthy years.

Laughter is a luxury,they say,a frivolity,something to indulge in only every so often.
A research carried out in a Norwegian university in 2006 shows that people with a sense of humor have a 30 per cent better chance of survival when severe disease strikes.
Laughter has been shown to:
•Lead to reduction I stress hormones such as cortisol and epinephrine
•Boosts the number of antibody producing cells and enhances the effectiveness of T-cells ,leading to a stronger immune system.

You like laughter?
Consider it a sound medical advice to indulge in as often as you can.
You rarely laugh?
Then taken your medication but it is adviceable to take advantage on its health benefit and stop popping those medicines with side effects.

Use whatever makes you laugh- sitcoms,movies,jokes and friends.

Give yourself permission to laugh- loud and loud and out loud(lots of it)-whenever anything strikes you as funny. People around you may think you're strange,but sooner or later they'll join in even if they don't know what you're laughing about.
Some diseases may be contagious,but none is as contagious as the cure...laughter.

Sending a winning proposal is a very key aspect of getting jobs, first of all, clients does not want to know the thousands of years you have been working as a graphics designer or stuff, they just want to know if you have done something similar to theirs and can get theirs done well, I see a lot of people write "I have been working as a Video editor for the last 6 years, and I have a degree in bla bla bla", clients are not interested in your life story, in fact, most clients read only the first 2-3 lines of your proposal cos they usually have many more to read, they don't have that time, so your first 2 lines should be what you spend time on, do not copy and paste proposals on every job you see, craft and modify each proposal to suite the job you are applying for, most times, you have a very short time to do so, always make sure your proposal is amongst the first 5, or 10 latest, anything above that, your chances to land that job has lowered, also, take the focus away from you when submitting a proposal and put the focus on the client and the job, introduce yourself very briefly, and then go straight to what you can offer them, tell them what you will be doing to their project, and what they will get if they hire you, try as much as possible to take out "I" from your proposal, Eg, instead of saying

"I will add a professional graphic title to your video to highlight the point"

why don't you make it like this

" Just watched your footage and Your job requires a professional graphic to highlight the point"

This way, you have told them what you intend to do without using "I" while shifting the attention to the job.


don't base on how much experience you have, and also, get the clients names from past reviews if you can, it helps to stand you out, the client will be wondering how you got to know their name, it works like magic.

your Upwork portfolio should be your first redirection, and Upwork has made it easier by allowing you to automatically select what portfolio skill you will want to send to the client while applying for a job, so make your profile very catchy too, the first 2-3 paragraphs are very important too, don't write an epistle there, be brief, concise and let your words be loaded, For me though, I have a website with my name as the URL, apart from sending my Upwork portfolio to them, I also send my freelance portfolio site to them if they require more samples, I have put a couple of my best works across various niches there, so if a client wants to see my past job, I send them the link.

Thou most times, your Upwork portfolio is enough to convince them (of course if you have enough good jobs there)

I also will advise everyone to make sure they know their trade well before selling on Upwork, remember you are dealing with Europeans, Americans, Australians, etc, and most times, because they have seen quality jobs, they usually have a very high standard for their jobs, you don't want to have a bad review on your first job, trust me.

So to round up, just upload your previous jobs to your Upwork profile portfolio and that is enough for now.

hello sir i am a 2d animator (not traditional)
there's this problem after effects(2015) has been giving me. after rendering the animations i create there, when editing its kind of blurry when i zoom in(400%).
i design characters and props in 4k using adobe illustrator and then import it to after effects.

i dont know why i am having this problem because vector animations are not meant to be blurry when you zoom them. maybe there's something i am yet to set in after effects to solve the problem

i render using quick time and png.................100% quality 1920 by 1080p
i edit using kdenlive...............i couldn't use premier pro because it required encoder even though i already installed it.............i guess its because its cracked

Hello, good day sir.

You are having this problem because you did not rasterize the layer in after effects, make sure you rasterize every layer while working, that way, you don't get a blury job.

I have attached where you will find the rasterize layer option in case you don't know where to find it.

Also, the market for animation is very good, there are lots of animation jobs that pays well, though I try to run away from animations cos it will take a lot of my time, so I just work on intros, outros, and some quick after effects fixes, but generally, there are a lot of good paying animation and after effects jobs if you are good at what you do.

Also, move away from 2015 already (except your pc can't properly run higher versions) there are so many things you are missing out, also, I used to have the same encoder error when I was using 2015, it is a glitch that came with the crack, just upgrade and make sure you have the same version and year of AE, PP and ME installed, it will work flawlessly

so far, one fact I've been made to understand in addition to email copywriting principles and directives... is that writing a good proposal is key to getting offers.

please while uploading previous works (whether real jobs taken or not) to upwork profile portfolio, is it acceptable to upload it the way it was supposedly delivered to that previous client, without removing the link or name of the particular product that was being sold or advertised there?

Most of this email software's doesn't require technical skills so long you can click here and there.. Take for instance Aweber, Autoresponder etc.
