Hi all, I'm 28, had bsc in accounting, graduated 2018. I worked as a secretary, y'll know how Nigeria is, no job.. And I will love to try d express entry.. Please I would appreciate every advice I can receive here on how to go about it. Least I forget I'm 3mth pregnant.
Thanks y'll
I think the best thing you can do for yourself now now is get an additional degree before you deliver becos once baby comes it’d be hard to focus on the books. There are short courses like CIMA, BCS, ACCA that you can complete within 6 months all cost less than 200k. Once u’ve gotten ur extra degree then you can focus on getting ur WES evaluation and Ielts. Those can be done even when baby has come. Aim to max out your ielts and you’re good. Goodluck

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Nobody: 3:21pm On Jun 22, 2020
Guys, CIIN is responding. So if you have been pursuing them for a response, keep on.

Again, ATS, ACCA, CIMA and BCS etc are all alternative. Unilag diploma and NOUN too. Anyone that has your interest based on easiness, cost and time elapse.

Good day Elders in the house,
I am an ACCA member and I am currently considering processing my CPA from Nigeria while awaiting ITA in the pool.

Please, I want to confirm if the CPA canada will give me additional CRS points under question 7(Do you have a certificate of qualification from a Canadian province, territory or federal body?) of the CRS calculator?

Thank you.

Hi, I wrote IELTS with MOD two weekends ago. Yes, there is adequate spacing. They typically admit 20 candidates per test venue. They give you headphones. You come with your pencils for L,R,W sections. You use a general pen which they sanitize after anyone touches it to sign the attendance sheet. I wrote twice with MOD in the last one month. My first experience was bad because they weren't organized in that center and there was a power cut during my listening section and I missed answering 4 questions. After several emails, I was offered a free retake of the test. My second test was a much better experience, they were very organized. I wish you all the best.

Please do u have lost of professional certificate that WES evaluate to give additional points??
I've searched google didn't see any sensible answers

For starters you can also try post graduate diploma in Technology Management from National Centre for Technology Management, NACETEM. Its a 9-month program favourably accesed by WES. Here is a screenshot of someone's evaluation below. https://www.nacetem.gov.ng/#/pgd

Unilag is sending out results via DHL and has been treating a lot of their back logs since they resumed. Apply on the records portal and follow up with your contact there is you have any. A lot of people have been getting their transcripts processed by Unilag recently without much need to follow up. So you can apply now

Hi. I've been trying to apply for my transcript online all morning but I can't get beyond the 'select programme and count' stage, the programme box just won't tick. Is there a way around this?? Anyone?

Thanks

Nah! It must be a programme you took in Canada. Besides, certificate conversion isn't exactly the same as writing the exam to obtain it... They often refer it as professional route..

Hello people, specifically for the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program(OINP)to demonstrate my work history must I get a reference letter in my employer’s letter head? I am considering getting a senior colleague to sign on my behalf and attach his/her business card. I don’t know if that would suffice for the OINP. I see it would for IRCC. Please I need inputs. Thanks in anticipation.

Best advice. You are still below 30 years. Begin your WES go and do CIMA, or CIPM immediately before you clock 30. By the time you should be done with WES by Gods grace the CIMA or CIPM will ge making progress. Then begin your IELTS prep.
Why?
If you do IELTS now, I strongly feel you will come back to ask how can you boost your points and by then age may not be on your side and when you eventually want to pursue another degree, your IELTS could Expire and you have to redo it again.
So to avoid casualties all I advice is that you begin your WES, then immediately begin a second degree to boost your chances. In addition just start getting yourself acquainted with IELTS materials so when it's time for it you will not be stranded.
God bless.

All things being equal after WES, CIPM or CIMA you would be 29 by then and when you passed IELTS mostly if you maxed out you will be on 474. And that is good to go for ITA first or second round before you clock 30.

Thank you so much
