HembaqMbk: Only few haven't walked on that genotype route.... ".... Breaking up its not very easy but I have to go.... Knowing me, knowing you it's the best we can do....." Abba pop song.. If you know you know....... Many many years later, You will be very grateful & glad you did.... I saw first-hand, the pains genotype incompatible couples live with..... I don't wish such anguish on anybody.... I called her and thanked her for having the courage to walk away.... Speaking from personal experience..... If you have not tied the marital knot , please walk away. My two cents. 1 Like |

Ishilove: If both parents are negative the child will be negative. So no complications. RhD+ blood don't produce antibodies when in contact with RhD- blood. Thats why RhD+ persons can take blood from either extreme and also why a RhD+ mother can safely give birth to RhD- child with hardly any complications. RhD- negative blood is a totally different thing. Once its sights the rhesus antigen eh, it quickly alerts the immune system to start producing antibodies that will kill those rbc carrying the rh factor. Most times if the first exposure to rh+ blood is minimal, there won't be much reaction as the amount of antibodies produced at that point will be low. But if the 1st exposure is substantial, there will be reaction. After 1st exposure, the body keeps producing more antibodies in preparation for the next "invasion" by rh+. You can only imagine what will happen on 2nd exposure. Its devastating really. Thats why rh- people can only receive blood transfusion from rh- people. And why a rh- negative mother will have problems when the blood of a rh+ child mixes with hers for the second time. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Saneesk: If you check through history, you will hear of ogbanje children, who don't live long and are constantly sick. Those were SS children, but no one knew at the time. As always we created spiritual tales to explain it. Your genotype can't change. It remains the same throughout your life. The only reason you will have two different results is due to human error. I personally don't know why someone trained will make such error because the test is very straightforward to carry out. A doctor who knows his stuff will never tell you genotype doesn't matter. Well except you are AA and even then you still have to check for rhesus compatibility to avoid rh disease in the future. There's no scam here. Read through the thread and learn! 4 Likes |
