I may be wrong, but I can not ignore this amount of cash that UACN is sitting on.
N6.75 cash per share, Q1 2020 report for a N7 per share stock.

Another Dangote Flour in the making.

I will only be worried if Blakeney' sales is not a cross trade. From the 3Q result you may just have another minority shareholders with 5% holding

If I decide to sell fcmb today,I will be sitting at 7% but ayam not doing that now 'cos technicals is getting stronger day by day.

Let's see if chibuking's next month Bonanza will touch fcmb and few other stocks that will be bullish when there will be stampede according to chibuking.

But I am always satisfy with 10-15% whenever it gets there,it will trigger.its an automatic setup at my end.

This session was organized to help calm the nerves of foreign investors now awash with bailout dollars but worried about Nigeria’s faltering economy and its likely ability to trigger further devaluation. Mr. Emefiele did not confirm if another devaluation was in the offing.

Rabbidoracle, The above is from Nairametrics write up on a recent CBN event where fx issues were discussed. Even though i pray for the inflow of those free foreign funds there by leading to a massive bull. However, there is too much uncertainty in this market for that bull to happen anytime soon. The CBN is living in denial hence a second round of devaluation is inevitable. I also see the current sideways trades happening for a while.

The only thing that can derail the bull on NSE is if there is another selloff in the global world markets(US and EU combined). And that run will be stopped abruptly because Fed will start to buy stocks grin grin grin

Fed has entered one-way! Dem no fit go back. grin

So markets may stay artificially inflated for a while due to increased pumping. Maybe if investors lose faith in the dollar and fear to hold dollar debt, na that time the main oso Abiola will happen.

Everyone is looking for which country will be safe to hold their hot money till the crisis in the US abates. They know that the US and EU stock markets are running faster than the economic recovery and this is an anomaly.

Chief i totally agree with ur postulation (Fed printing / hot money) but the last leg of it (i.e. the flow towards emerging market a la i.e. NSE) is what other commentators are calling attention to. Considering the peculiarity of the regulatory environment of NSE (i.e. CBN FX regime) dont u think the inflow would be late in coming (if at all it come) because the FPI might want to give attention first to other emerging market ( e.g. Turkey / Egypt e.t.c) without the type of CBN FX regime isue but with similar return to NSE (rsik / reward). Also that when they eventually come in what wld be left wld be crumbs (other markets having eating to satisfaction before they look at the side of NSE) hence this crumb might not be much to spectacularly move NSE.

I would appreciate your take on above

That dude(gloriousdown) is a smart fellow.
He simply computed the C&CE(drawn from the groups net cash flow accruals) and divided it by the OS to get that N6.75 peg.
The ratio, often refered to as cash per share(C/S) measures the health and relative strength of a company by looking in on how much CASH a coy has at its disposal to run a business and generate REWARD for shareholders.
It's a far better indicator to ascertain the reward potential of a coy than EPS, which is why I often laugh when I see some folks talk about only EPS here.
I have always said that indicators(whether in FA or TA) should always be utilized in collectives and never in isolation.

While C/S is ok, as it also takes cognizance of all possible adjustment in Fx rate, it doesn't tell the whole story.
There is more to UACN than most folks already know. ...CR, AGPR, AER, EFIR, EM and more !!

Because of the virtual outcry here, I do not wish to do any more expository analysis on UACN.
People should PLS SELL their holdings, so those who appreciate VALUE can mop up more.
Soon, some persons will begin to see "the light" shocked shocked cool
For though they see the financial print now, they do not see the feasible REWARD. wink cheesy grin

We have since stoped talking about UACN.

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by rebekah2011(m): 11:34am On Jun 24, 2020
Thank you. A quick look at the balance sheet shows that you arrive at the computation by using these figures N19449433 / 2881296. =N6.75
You ignored borrowing liabilities of N7,692,148 and the income tax liabilities of N5b ( I must state that the company may have enough withholding credit notes to use to settle these tax liabilities). There is also dividend payable of over N5b. So do not take the cash and cash equivalent on the balance sheet in isolation, do consider other items.

Most EMs including the 2 u mentioned are already witnessing bullish runs. In Turkey, most coys have delivered mouth-watering returns, with some coys riding as much as 2000% and above on ROI.
The point is; most of these EMs(including the EU and US) already hold a far higher RISK and far lower REWARD looking at the drive for VALUE in most assets(MoS from FVE in view).
For a majority of them RISK has since overtaking REWARD(their mkts have run at a much faster rate beyond economic concerns and global realities). Look at their coys PE, EM, AGPR...
A sharp contrast is what u see in the Nigerian terrain.

Yes, there's the risk of funds flow, especially repatriation power, but there has always been that risk. The CBN didn't start its tight Fx regime today. It was also there when the mkt experienced bullish runs last yr and early this yr.
What's most important is that when u benchmark this surrounding RISK to feasible REWARD there is a far better margin compared to other mkts.
Add that to the fact that the NSE is currently the cheapest exchange in Africa, and u'll see that it's only a matter of time before these funds find their way here.

Why do I think it will be sooner than later?
1) Nigerian is in a better state than most other EMs that have seen massive funds inflow.(compare Q1, 2020 GDP and deficit position)
2) The Fx management stance from the CBN is much better now than it were in late 2019 and early 2020, when the mkt witnessed bullish runs.

Okay.
Don't have much strength for argument......but if we say someone is selling off (UACN), hope we didn't forget that someone is staking his money on it as well.
What if those insider dealings were mere crossings from a friend to another friend or inviting a highly influential friend unto the table?
What if it's another core shareholder taking position while another one is crossing some of his stakes to him?
What if the shareholder selling is doing so to pursue other interests?

Not too long ago, Wigwe was selling Access and people were panicking, now he's buying back.

During diamond time, there were quite a lot of crossings from the Dozies to the Wigwes (correct me if I'm wrong).

I think these guys knows more than we do.

In the prospectus however, there were details of how the unbundling is going to be done.

Still reading and trying to figure things out myself anyway........until I did this type of findings during Diamond era, I didn't understand it well, was just following Nsempas blindly before then.......but when I did, I could remember posting in favour of the merger thereafter.... tongue
