Ok, we dont need such investors o.
Fdi are long term planner they have to invest in fixed assets like factories office etc ...so they use a separate parameter to guide investments...like the long term value of Naira ,political stability, market size, consumer purchasing power and spending habits etc .....

He wants to introduce you to importation of goods from China.

Really! I fear nairaland though when it relates to business. Have been ripped off twice here. But I do get little goods from there and its basically cosmetics.

He should just look out for the market. Another suspicious loophole I identified was that there is no specific product him and the so called Chinese have in mind to trade on.

The CBN is living in denial hence a second round of devaluation is inevitable at this point.

Are you selling yours? I’m ready to buy.

I currently have a plot and half at Adron's City of David Estate (Phase 1), Shimawa after successfully selling off half plot from a total of 2 plots last year. I am selling for half the current market price 'cos I relocated out of town and no longer available to develop the site allocated to me with corresponding documents. You may send me a pm if interested. If not interested, no wahala smiley

Let them run, some new FDI are coming in, I heard the France's largest telecom company, Orange, is planning to come in. Soldier go soldier come.

Orange is not coming.

They are supposed to increase their stake in 9mobile but sources say the transaction may not happen.

If I follow your argument correctly, then these changes mostly affect the FPIs and those who converted their forex into Naira to do fixed term investments in Nigeria and not necessarily those who were already operating in Naira, am I right?

Looks like they have banned oga Ema again.

Looks like they have banned oga Ema again.[/quote) yes we that live in Nigeria battle only inflations as our expense is in naira ....example if naira is devalued i can still buy yam for 500 naira Naira has devalued by 100 percents but your rents have not moved by 100 percents ....example of 2 bderoom is 400k in 2014 is may be now 500k in 2020....but i am paying fees in ireland (12000 euro) in 2014 will be 2.5m naira annually.....now in 2020 i will be pay (13500 euro) which is 5m .....so i need more naira to achieve same thing...

This is good news. We especially need FDI’s and I am glad it’s a Telecommunications company.

MTN and Spectranet together disgraced me days back in an interview.

Nigeria close to securing $3 billion World Bank facility.

My question is if Nigeria has $33 billion in their reserves why this loan? Is it that the loan is dirty cheap because of the Corona circumstances? Plus what d loan will be used for is not very clear.
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by ojesymsym: 12:59pm On Jun 24, 2020
Point noted.
It now becomes easier to follow your position once I can separate when you are talking forex (devaluation) and naira (inflation).
Thanks

The loans are quite cheap though. They are not up to 1% interest I think.

Still we need to be careful.

I prefer the Chinese counterpart loans that are tied to projects.

You will need about $250,000 as a Nigerian to have your business legally registered in Ghana and must employ at least 5 Ghanaians so I learnt.

Is that true?

Unfortunately

The law actually is applicable across board

But the argument we always have is that because we are ECOWAS members
There should be some concessions for us

But apparently, GIPC dont care

I dont know about the employing ghanaians part sha
But I believe that is the case as well.

However
You will be surprised to see all manners of foreigners troop in grin cheesy grin

Most Nigerians dont have $250k to spare

So we (actually they) slug it out on the streets

If you have the $250k and asked to invest in either Nigeria or Ghana, where will you choose?

With that amount I will venture into production. And for sake of electricity, I'll choose Ghana. Though Nigeria has a bigger market, I can still ship to Nigeria market. Just as we buy from China and other countries.
