I went to the newspaper vendor joint today to buy sports paper ,as usual I met a group of men arguing about biafra and Nigeria matters I became interested to my surprise did you know this guy was an Ikwere man And an ipob member for that matter grin grin I was shocked to see an Ikwerre ipob member I was overjoyed too because i was made to believe ikwerre hates biafra here on Nl. but did you know the funny thing they were so many Afonjas and Akwa ibom men there too they gave me 1000 reasons why Rivers state is not Igbo state I laughed hard grin grin why are people so desperate to divide igboland embarassed I just don't understand imagine an afonja telling us who is Igbo and who is not Igbo in our land.

As we head home the Ikwere man told me the reason ikwerres And aniomas deny igbo is for political reasons so they would be given upper hand in the states they found themselves because the igbo stigma will not paint on them to avoid marginalization . (What a smart political move grin grin)
This guy told me to my face that Ikwerres are migrants from Ngwa and and ichies are migrated from imo via the imo river wooow I learnt something today.

But the question is why do Nigeriand try so hard to divide igboland why? Is it because of oil grin grin

The good but lazy people of ikwerreland have repeatedly said that they are not Igbos. The Igbos i know don't associate with lazy people. Why are some people so keen on imposing themselves on ikwerres. I tire for the op.

Lol. This was the same thing an ikwerre man told my dad. He even gave examples like the projects going on in portharcourt . He said that if they were claiming igbo, that airport and railway will not be found in portharcourt and infant , Rivers State will not be were it is today. My papa just open mouth de look am.

I blame igbos for this. They accept people as their brothers too much. Even if your you are not igbo, but your great great great grandma is igbo, they will begin to look at you as igbo. We have not yet realized that some of those ancient brotherliness are very unacceptable in a country like Nigeria. They disappeared after the civil war. Igbos should realize this and drop that mentality. I'm not saying that we shouldn't treat everyone as brothers, but it should have a limit especially when it is becoming an insult .

Bro it's brotherly love I can't explain it though, if your brother forgets his identity that love will still be there no matter what.

You sounded as if the guy has just granted you Biafra or Biafra Independence depends on Ikwerre people accepting they are Igbos. that makes them look too important abeg stop creating such thread again. How is Ikwerre more important to you than any other Igbo clan?
Talkless about Ikwerre issues and let them be.

Not at all. Ile-Ife was under Nri influence a few hundreds of years ago also.

Bini royalty is older than Ile-Ife royalty.

Both of them are not as old as Nri royalty.

Im glad you admitted that afonja is not the only ones that think you Igbos are nuts.......many Ibomites at the vendor stand think so as well, and according to you, in line with many Nigerians who share the belief.
