not even about sadiq really, but lets minus this season where dessers is the top scorer, where was he last season when he was 24 years old, nd 2 seasons ago when he was 23, you feel me... and if he was so damn good, he would not be moving to Genk now, after being the joint top scorer of the Eredivisie... he should be moving to the EPL, La liga, bundesliga, seria A, french league etc, ever wondered why he declared for us? or why belgium would rather lose a good quality centre forward? maybe cuz he is average IMO...

Now after comparing both on transfermarkt.com, i found out dessers is valued at 3.2m to sadiq 2.m, however we should not forget that around 2017, sadiq was valued just under a little below 3.m before the nosedive, at that particular time when dessers should be 23, we dont know his wherabouts...

dessers 25 years, total match is 167 games, 73 goals, 28 assist
sadiq 23 years 141 games 77 goals 31 assist ( not including 6 apps nd 4 goals for the u23)

conclusion

what im trying to get at is that, he dosent really trump any of our forward players at the moment, what does he bring to the table? Can he dribble like chuks, lethal like osihmen, fast like simon or kalu, infact i prefer josh maja... but he is a powerfully built striker and had a good season.... lets see him at Genk please... but no matter what he achieve at Genk, he'd still need to move to a much bigger side... that was the move we expected now, i guess we'd have to wait another season or so....

sadiq on the other hand is interesting, can play, score, assist, weve known him since 'tey tey', when he was having troubles we know him, hes don the green and white, played for FC ROMA, been to the olympics and is being mooted for a bigger move, im sure bigger than Genk.... oh nd a 'proper nigerian.

What I gather from your writeup is that you are biased

What can Sadiq Umar do that Dessers can't do, besides Dessers is a more clinical finisher and what he was doing at 23,24 has no relevance to the present

ABOUT SAMSON TIJANI

When will samson tijani start playing for red bull salzburg or leifering (their youth team).
Everybody knows he has already singed for them.
He turned 18 in May and so i wonder when he will play.
Anybody with information on him.
I like him his game reminds me of Jorginho of Chelsea or Sunday Oliseh

not necessarily biased bro, im only looking for the interest of the Super Eagle.. im not all loved up for sadiq umar like that, and to be honest i was watching his highlights and i swore i could dribble some of those defenders myself, if you saw my post yesterday or so, you will see that i reiterated for the need for umar to go and show us all this dribble in a bigger league and more meaner defenders, lets see... but if there was nothing there he wouldn't be in the Olympics or played for Roma.. so i wanna see him play in a tougher clime, before i could really be sold on him.... and i hope he pass, i like his game, i mean did you watch some of his highlighst? dude gets the ball so deep in his half for a center forward, which means he is good with the ball at his feet, can beat 1 or 2 and make a pass for assist...

i would admit i haven't watched a live match of cyril dessers, but the highlights of him ive watched does not wowed me, all his goals are basic, nothing extraordinary, technically he is not up there, he is more of a gra gra player that fights with defender for a ball, wins it and face the keeper. i dont want to sound like a bad belle, but i was more impressed with the small highlights i have seen of Maja....

dessers great guy, declared for us, lets see what he gonna do... but no favorotism cuz one person is oyinbo nd declared 4 us, at the end of the day, we all Nigerian...

He needs to pass like jorginhi or oliseh to be world class you know. Generally try to be creative with the ball. Guardiola doesnt really like his style

I see that people keep mentioning Joebie and asking him to calm down.

IMO, it takes two to tango and both parties involved should calm down

You are right. But what's the need for this? TheSupernerd has been calm and dropping football updates since then and even left all these talks behind.
I, however want to point out something some choose to keep ignoring or haven't taken note of. I really prefer watching but I am also tempted to speak up when I feel something so obvious isn't being addressed. I don't bow to the temptation everytime but I now to this one.
I have noticed that the Joebie fellow always seem to bring into any recent confrontations with Mr. Nerdy, that situation concerning Nerdy's Mom being insulted and how he (nerdy) decided to react to it to send a message. It's almost like he enjoys people's moms getting insulted coz he keeps bringing it up. He did it sometime ago when Nerdy called him out on his Tammy bias and his giving so much attention to an English international on a Super Eagles thread. I think I also remember Nerdy claiming he changed his post relating to a reaction to a Tammy post to which Joebie initially denied and later admitted. That matter passed.
Now again, the fellow tries to make Nerdy look bad but apparently fails as Nerdy debunks his talks with a full video which I agree justifies his brief summary of what happens as regards Nwakali. What does he do again when the Nerd calls his actions childish and malice-driven? He brings up Nerdy's Mom again.
I am beginning to find that very repulsive and grossly immature. In short I might even say Pussy-like. Sorry. Just saying it as I feel it is.
I just feel I should point this out because I feel some here are just out to distract TheSupernerd lad from doing his thing.

Now, before I return to Ghostmode, let me add this. I used to have a thing for Nwakali but personally now, I'm just watching. He hasn't had a fine career progress generally so I am just basically indifferent to what he does now until I see some consistency. But I see nothing wrong in another trying to drop updates on the lad and focus on the positives of it.
I come here to get the best of Nigerian football news and I view gladly in Ghostmode appreciating what y'all do here and Mr.Nerdy is one moniker in here whose comments I love to read as his passion is never in doubt. TheGoodJoe, his good friend on here is another. His "Dad" Icons is another and a few others like Chris, Tbaba and even Forgiveness.
I think not everyone is bound to agree and I'm sure there are those here who got their favs but let us not distract from the main purpose of the thread so that the rest of us will keep enjoying what brings us here. That's all I wanted to add.

Not too long ago, the talk of racism came into the discourse.

And I mentioned Everton but a club l have been very consistent in saying is No No for black players is Burnley.

We have seen the banner that Burnley fans paid for as a collective to be flown over the Etihad stadium, should give you an indication of the prevalent cultural in that club from top too bottom.

Quite a few were contending with me on that view l presented.

Very racist isn't it? How dare they attempt to steal the victimhood from you guys? We reserve the sole rights to portray ourselves victims, don't it?

Before I finally go back to quiet mode, I want to drop that I observe the absence of Peter Olayinka. His team is playing now and still nothing on him. What's happening?
And Sadiq's side are losing right now. I don't think he is getting the send off he hoped for since news of his departure looks certain. I hope he can turn things around. Anyway, bye for now.

You should get used to it. This is a public forum and this thread has lots of followers. Some might come back a day or two and scan to catch up with what went on in their absence.

So drawbacks in topics happen from time to time.
