The reason Yorubas are being dragged into it is because Yorubas have been mocking Igbos since 2015 Goodluck lost to Buhari, calling Igbos all sorts of demeaning names, to the extent they even celebrated publicly when Nigerian army went to Southeast to kill unarmed IPOB protesters for exercising their constitutional right.

I don't know what Igbos did to Yorubas that made Yorubas hate Igbos so so much when it comes to national politics and affairs.

Yes individullay, Igbos and Yorubas relate well but when it comes to national politics, national issue, voting, etc, Yorubas always love antagonising Igbos .

You don't care about Igbos or Biafra, yet when Igbos talk about their Biafra and how to leave Nigeria in peace, Yorubas will be the first to attack them verbally, etc.

But let Yorubas talk about Odua Republic and watch Igbos give them massive support, these are enough reasons to tell you who is right or wrong in the fight between Igbos and Yorubas.

Since the end of Nigerian civil war with Biafra, Hausa-Fulanis have ruled Nigeria, Yorubas have ruled Nigeria twice; it doesn't matter if its one Yoruba man that ruled twice as military and as civilian President that's his luck, but that's Yoruba slot.

If Yorubas were sensible and fair enough, they ought to throw their weight and support behind Igbo Presidency in 2023 at least to pacify Igbos like OBJ Presidency was used to pacify Yorubas in 1999.

But no, because of Yoruba wickedness, greed and hatred for Igbo, they want to produce another President in 2023, what does that say about the Yoruba tribe

Even the North are watching them and laughing at their wickedness and selfishness.

And even if Yorubas are to produce the President in 2023 for any reason at all, how is it even possible for a known political corrupt criminal and godfather like Tinubu to become the President of Nigeria under the watch of every Nigerian that know how Tinubu corruptly pocketed a whole Lagos state and some Yoruba states to the joy of many Yorubas

Notorious political criminals and corrupt, greedy, desperate political godfathers like Tinubu hardly win presidential election because everybody know their mission to become President, so Tinubu should return back to his local Yoruba politics where he plays god before they destroy him completely.

To become Nigeria's President, you must come with one unheard mantra or be seen as next Messiah not next destroyer or next devil. Check the records of all past and present elected Presidents of Nigeria and see if Tinubu have any unique record to sell him to Nigerians His only unique record is he is a ruthless political godfather, a master in political looting and godfatherism, nothing else. Which sensible Nigerian will support such criminal to become Nigeria's President

Tinubu is the General Overseer the Commander in Chief of Lagos state, a country inside country that's almost richer than Nigeria, yet go to Lagos, it is like a slum, most intra city roads in Lagos are deathtraps, street roads are all gone, infrastructure is dead in Lagos, obtaining Lagos state land occupancy certificate or CofO or whatever call it is a big problem on the Island because Tinubu have huge interest in all lands in Lagos and indirectly dictates when and where CofO is issued to property owners and prospective property buyers, he has turned Lagos to a slum instead of a mega city competing with top global cities, all because of his greed and selfishness, yet Yorubas want such man to become next Nigeria's President, is that not wickedness

Northerners are not as daft as Yorubas think they are, let's watch and see as things unfolds anyway.

Good morning
you are fundamentally wrong.
nobody said Igbo's couldn't contest for the presidency.
as far as I know Nigeria is a democratic state where there is room to vy for any position of your choice.
let any igbo pick up the form and slug it out with any contender.
you are going to earn it,not that you'll be freely given.

What BAT does is BAT's headache & if majority of the voting population in Lagos follow his path, that's their problem. We can all speak of his devious nature, but keep the criticism on him.

Also, you made reference to Yorubas mocking Igbos, but you failed to acknowledge the glaring fact that it was Nnamdi Kanu that initially was openly insulting other ethnic groups.

Make no mistake, Igbos & Yorubas do not always agree on issues, but both ehnic nationalities are/were enlightened enough to know that difference in opinion does not make them enemies. But NK openly insulting them was uncalled for & a selfish move.

Now, I am not saying the Yorubas are saints, in fact, they also need to tone down their vile utterances, but the fact remains that both ethnic groups need to stop the insults.

History has shown that both sides have repeatedly had their ups & downs, their victors & villains, their positives & negatives, their strengths & weaknesses... But they are still formidable people whether they chose to coexist within a single geographical entity or as separate nations...

Will you shut up if you don't know what to say. How did Nnamdi Kanu insult the Yoruba? Nnamdi Kanu told you the truth that's very bitter for you and you say he insults you. I challenge you to tell me one thing Nnamdi Kanu said about the Yoruba that's a lie or remain silent forever. And for anyone you mention, I'll give you at least two verifiable references and fact.

I agree with what you said.. The only way to challenge the North and call their threatening antics bluff is only when they unite.. Ie igbo and yoruba...

But the problems is how sincere and honest can the yoruba be?.
Can they be trusted?
Remind you that the echoes of the yoruba been betrayals heightened when they collaborated with the North to oust the South south..
So you see my brother the yorubas have a lot of work to do.. In other to gain the trust of their southern brethrens..

The only reason why northern politicians are trying to avoid tinubu is because they know that the man will restructure Nigeria if come to be president.

I told him(Tinubu) that he will have himself to be blame for Buhari second term.

The bricks being thrown at Yorubas are uncalled for.

If BAT seems to be losing out politically, then keep the discussion centred on him. Do not drag/mock the whole ethnic group.

In politics, no permanent friends nor foes. Regardless of the divide our politicians in Nigeria reside, be it on ethnic, religious or political grounds, their ideology of greed & reckless domination remains constant.

Bottom line...

It is ok to critic politicians as individuals or political parties as groups, but it is despicable to insult & mock ethnic nationalities.

We are all different & even if we are to part, we can do so on amicable terms, hard feelings or not.

After all, no ethnic nationality is perfect.

You will have better luvk debating the wind than getting NL keyboard warriors to understand the truths in your post . Forget it.

Good morning
Any Yoruba man that support the trashy and twisted narrative you put here need to have his head re-examined. He must have drank from the pot of lies and hate you Igbo have unleashed on his tribe for years. He is only perpetrating his own enslavement because he has jettison history to embrace scheming of some callous and crafty element.

You Igbo are full of self righteousness but you are the most vile, divisive and ethnic conscious tribe in Nigeria. History has it on record that you have never supported a Yoruba man ambition but you always turn to accuse them when you find yourselves in messy situation.

Firstly, is Jonathan an Igbo man? Why are your tribe so attached to this failed and corrupt administration that you eternally tried to justify his misdeed. I never take you people criticism of Buhari seriously because you always do that in a bit to justify Jonathan administration.

Let's talk about history, from the first republic to second republic till date, tell me one instance when Igbo ever supported a Yoruba man. Azikiwe started the history of alliance with northerners leaving only Awolowo in opposition , yet the later outperformed all his counterpart in other regions. The unity party of Azikiwe and Northerner even tried to supplant Awo by distabilizing the southwest and sending him to prison. Every attempt by Awo to make the military government of Aguiyi Ironsi, an Igbo man see the political undertone behind his incarceration and grant his release failed. It took Gowon to come to power and release him during the war.

What about recent events of June 12. 1993, Abiola had made his name as a foremost philanthropist in Nigeria and Africa and a pillar of sport who made sure Nigeria players were amply rewarded during a good showing in tournaments. His election was so popular as it was touted to end years of Military rule. He was voted massively in every region except the Igbo land. Even the northerners rejected their own son Uthman Tofa. Igbo never voted Abiola and their political players allied with the military to frustrate June 12.

Listen, Yoruba dont care about Tinubu. We aren't Maliciously ethnic conscious, it is the trait of you Igbo people. That is why you are hastily suspicious of Yoruba, your most loyal neighbours. Oyo voted pdp, Aketi never emerged through Tinubu connection, Ekiti once jettison APC for Fayose party. It is you Igbo that has remain with PDP and are so desperate to plant a Party where your polician can easily loot and dominate.

Yoruba has no attachment to ethnic interest. They have experimented with different party and have rejected Tinubu countless time. It remain for Igbo to show the kind of progressiveness we have displayed in Yoruba land. Let them get rid of their own cabal rather than obsession with Tinubu. What a Yoruba man don't understand is that Igbo hate any administration where Yoruba are prominent.

History has it on record that you have never supported a Yoruba man ambition... Osita Chidoka, an Igbo man displayed the newspaper advert he ran in support of MKO 1993 as a student... he still has a copy. But you are here telling lies that Igbos never support Yoruba man...

Why are your tribe so attached to this failed and corrupt administration that you eternally tried to justify his misdeed The igbo anger is because Tinubu did what the North will not do against its own...Buhari has so far failed but have you heard them call for his removal?

Any Yoruba man that support the trashy and twisted narrative you put here need to have his head re-examined. He must have drank from the put of lies and hate you Igbo have unleashed on his tribe for years.

Igbos that will be shouting Biafra after election and still want Igbo president when election is coming. They should get there ass together and let everyone know what they want. How dare you want to lead a country you want to break away from.
greypencils:
If Igbos mock Yorubas, they have every right to. Why? National interest should come before Regional interest. What is good for Nigerias unity now is for all tribes to back an Igbo candidate come 2023. I emphasise on the choice of the Igbo candidate because all other geopolitical zones have had their share of presidential power except the South-East. This is for the sake of national unity. Yorubas should think in that line. So BAT's ambition is way out of lin because he is putting his own selfsh interest before national unity. This country can only survive if we are united and with one purpose and to do that, all tribes must support an Igbo candidate come 2023. Don't get it twisted. I am full blooded Yoruba.

The worst mistake Tinubu did, was to support a northerner to become the president and installing oshiomole as the APC chairman with the aim of becoming president come 2023. If this set of people supported Jonathan as at then, what is happening now won't have occurred. The northerners don't want to make mistake of handing over the presidential seat to any region henceforth. Tinubu should form another political party and chase his dreams.

The emboldened is a lie. I don't think Igbos have ever been so focused on a particular Yoruba man like that of Tinubu. Tinubu is an ethnic bigot and he did not hide this few weeks to the last election, neither did his wife. Their remarks against igbos says it all. His wife was captured on video telling an innocent igbo vendor that "we don't trust you people" For what?

During election, they sent their dogs out to attack igbos. I have first hands information that they are already planning a repeat in 2023

I have never seen any Yoruba leader as decisive as Tinubu.

Igbos don't have cabals, you saw what they did in Imo until Buhari and APC used federal might to remove their chosen candidate.

The biafra ish is just Nnamdi Kanu doing is his nonsense. When Igbos really want it, they will get it but not the Nnamdi Kanu way.

You are a disgrace for buying the lies and hate the Igbo had unleashed on Yoruba for decades.

He’s no Yoruba. That’s how igbos impersonate Yoruba to say trash.
