@Tvegas I focuses on crude price because it's the determinant of market direction. Q2 result comprises of April to June, and one don't need prophet to know that q2 eps of all the stocks will drop against q2 2019, that notion alone will come with reaction, you don't expect upward movement immediately from bad report or result, the price will lower, then after that, within sometimes the recovery will take place in response to anticipated better q3 result against q2. Example, as crude oil drops in price, most oil companies price drop, and when the crude moves up, the oil companies price will moves up. And so when company report bad q2 the stock will drop. Remember the word of Buffet. Warren Buffett stated : “Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy only when others are fearful.” |

About UACN unbundling: This post is for the benefits of those who doesnt understand what the argument was about. My understanding: 1. UACN is splitting into three after unbundling - UACN, UPDC and UPDC-Reit. 2. Each entity to deal directly with their shareholders after unbundling. 3. UACN controls 93.9% of stake in UPDC and around 61% in UPDC-REIT. 4. UACN shares remains. 5. 93.9% stake of UACN in UPDC to be pro-rated and shared in ratio 1:6 to UACN shareholders. 6. Over 61% UACN stake in REIT to be pro-rated and shared in ratio 2:1 to UACN shareholders. 7. At the end of unbundling, 2 company's shares in addition to UACN (making 3 stocks) will appear in your portfolio.....if you have the 3 already, the units in UPDC and REIT will increase. @Onegentleguy, Uchetoba and talk2me2 have done all the talking and calculations, you may refer to their posts on the subject. Invariably, this unbundling will end up paying off..... to the patient ones especially. We pray everything goes according to the plan. After unbundling, UACN would have separated from its loss making arm while UPDC would strive to restrategise to deliver value to shareholders.....this started with their successful conclusion of the right issue. Individual is now free to make his/her own choice. CC: bumba1234 ....with due respect boss. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 1:22pm On Jun 25, 2020 |
stcool:Thanks bros. The question is: What does anyone stands to gain or lose here........looking at Risk Vs. Reward? ......With due respect to OGG? To me, the Reward far outweigh the Risks. Other questions are these: * Is any of the 3 coys disappearing? No! * Will they be able to stand on their own? Yes! * Will that affect UACN share price Negatively? Think the answer is still No! Make Una add other questions join. I don try. 3 Likes |

Princkez: backdated how? Did Olam and Dangote backdate? Did UBA back date? When the qualification date is announced...The speed at which UACN will move, you can even see the quantity available in the market is low |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 1:35pm On Jun 25, 2020 |
Princkez:Qualification date and other necessary info should be announced after completing the unbundling......these things follow processes. I don't think it can be back dated. My concern however is the period within which they'll conclude and rest the matter. Let it not be longer than necessary. Let them make it sharp sharp thereafter and not tie people's monies down. Also, like I said, what I posted was just my understanding of how the scenario is going to play out, based on the documents uploaded and published in NSE website as well as getting some guides from the monikers mentioned above. Correction is welcomed. |

Mcy56:Will unbundling happen this year, next or upper? What if like of zenith drop to #12 with UACN @ #6 which is more juices? What is the current fair price value of (1)one unit of UACN, (2). Six unit of UAC property and (3). Half unit of UPDC REIT going by their year in and year out eps quarterly performance ? |

Chibuking81:Monitoring oil fluctuations on a daily basis is not good for anyones health. I think Following general trend is better. Most countries are opening up hence there is no need to worry about Oil. Even right now there are good deals in the market, you can never time this market accurately. What if the Q2 results comes out better than expected. The feelers i am getting is to the effect that banking results will be flat. I am a fundamental investor, i seek only companies that give me minimum 12% dividend yield annually. So i careless about these market gyrations except something fundamental happens. Right now i am buying Zenith, WAPCO,UCAP. If prices comes down in July i will buy,if they don't i wont regret.Hope you understand my bias. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by stcool(m): 2:51pm On Jun 25, 2020 |
Chibuking81: All this unnecessary comparisons is draining! Las Las you go still buy...codedly. The unbundling is for July, but won't exceed this year. How do you expect UACN to fund the property division next year after injecting all those billions from the rights issue? The rights issue is the last money UACN will inject. 3 Likes |
