Tear the nylon, open the carton and remove the phone and accessories. Put your SIM cards and switch on the phone.

For the newbies on the thread, I know it can be frustrating when it seems like you are been asked mundane and repetitive questions in your quest for answers. In such situations, take a deep breath, relax, and have the following at the back of your mind:
- The person trying to help you cannot see what you are seeing, there is such a thing as "lost in translation"
- Humility is key, when you ask for help you are only "stupid" for the period you are seeking for assistance
- Don't be hasty to respond, digest what has been typed. Many a needless war has been started on this thread because the parties involved were communicating at different frequencies. Some gurus here are a bit sarcastic, while others are plain. Understand properly before thinking you are being attacked.
- Anyone who takes time out to attend to your questions and queries deserves your respect. They are not being paid to do so. Anytime you feel like hulking out, turning green, and smashing stuff - remember this sober fact.
- Finally, there are some satanically demonic entities on this thread whose sole purpose is to cause chaos, disaffection, and generally increase the amount of entropy on this thread - avoid them at all costs.
Thank you.

Install on your PC, then enable USB debugging on the phone, after which you connect the phone to the PC with a USB cable.

As a wise woman once told me - "Character is like smoke, it cannot be hidden". However, no matter how much a person is offered; it is very disgusting, tactless, clueless, and utterly classless for said person to love leading people astray. I am sure, once in a while, even the devil has to sit down and take notes from these diabolical entities.

Are you comparing RN9 to Redmi 8?, or you meant to write RN8?...

The phone part that contacted then floor first, and then ground surface are major determinants to this. That is why some of use can't do without screen gaurd and pouches. Some even go the extra for armoured pouch.

Can someone recommend me some quality game that I can download to testrun my RN8 pro. Please include a link to where I can download from and I favour adventure games more please. Thank you all...

1. Pascar's Wager

It's just $3.99 on Play Store.

It's the closest console-like experience you can get on mobile— as far as gameplay, graphics, and storyline are concerned.

2. eFootball: PES 2020

It's free on Play Store.

It's the most advanced football game on mobile. It uses the same gameplay engine as the past generation consoles (PS3 & Xbox 360) but tuned down graphically to enable it run on mobile with ease.

3. COD Mobile

It's also free on Play Store.

Best shooter on mobile. You can play all the most popular maps on previous console COD titles. Gameplay-wise, it emulates the console version, and it has one of the best graphics on mobile right now. Your RN8 Pro will get hot when set on highest graphic.

4. OddWorld: Stranger's Wrath

Just $2.99 on Play store.

One of the most underrated adventure games on mobile. The gameplay and storyline can't be adulated. The game is an Xbox game ported to mobile devices, and it runs smoothly like it was initially developed for mobile phones.

Attached below are the respective screenshots for each game.

Download the APK and download the config file from that same page.

After installing the APK, go to your internal storage. Create a folder called GCam inside it create another folder called Configs7.

Paste the config file(XML) into the Configs7 folder. Then open the Gcam to apply the config file like the image below

How you handle your phone is not Xiaomi's fault. What happened to your RN8 could equally happen to any other phone.

I, for one, don't fancy screen protectors, and it's been more than 4 years since I last used one on any smartphone. There are many people whose RN8s have fallen from great heights without any damage; in essence, it all depends on how the phone fell, as well as on which part it landed.

When my RN5 screen cracked, I didn't blame Xiaomi for it. I don't even know how it happened, but I woke up to find the phone pressed between the wall and my mattress. I've been using my RN7 close to a year now without any protection; if anything happens to the screen, I'll know it's my fault— since I detest screen guards.

All in all, I'm sorry you find yourself in such situation, but it's your fault and not Xiaomi's. Look for money and get it fixed. Bawling here won't help. You're making it seem as if the RN8 screen is bad and even went as far as comparing it to your past Transsion devices.

Look for money and go get your phone fixed.

Shalom.
Such is life, have moved on.. Thanks

Sorry to hear that, must've been the angle of fall I believe. Also when you go to fix it, the engineer should try removing and fixing back the screen connector. Hopefully that works.
