My application is 1 month old now. I submitted all necessary documents and have been waiting. Emailed them severally and they respond by saying, I will get a decision next week. Next week has been promised to me on several occasions. Tried calling them, they won't pick up. The last time I rang their number twice, I received an SMS message from their number, asking me to send all enquires to their email address. Anyone have such admission stress? Is it normal? 1month waiting is a damn long time to get ordinary admission. Any advice is appreciated... |

I’m sorry about the difficulties you might be having with the school, Why not apply to other school ? Your current situation with the school is weird and I really don’t understand the reason the school is taking this long to decide if your admission will be granted or nah... I’ll suggest you apply to other school... Modified: Corona virus should not be the reason for the late decision cuz this’s the period most schools are issuing out admission MJ888: 1 Like |

Try University of Jagiellonian, I got mine already without legalization of documents. Though I am not sure if their application period is still open. Alex246: 1 Like |

Hi Everyone this is those who intend to come to Poland for studies. As you all know admission is ongoing in most Polish schools However I would like to give a few advice based on experience. (1) Try to avoid schools in major cities in Poland if you are not so rich! Because The cost of living is higher in those places as well as tuition fees. (1) its more difficult to get a resident permit as a student from those places, (3) search for public schools they usually are well known no matter how small the city or town they are located in (4) immigration usually recognise documents from Public schools a lot more. (5) jobs don't pay higher because they are in bigger cities. Language is often a problem in smaller cities though u can always find those who speaks English if need be. 2 Likes |

wizzdy:I get the whole thing you trying to pass out and trying to help but here’s the thing...I live in Warsaw, in a private university and with a good job. If you are encouraging people to choose smaller cities, how many work/jobs are there in smaller cities?...as you said, it’s hard to find people who speaks English in smaller cities. So, which work would a person who doesn’t understand polish find in smaller cities?. Every foreigner I know here seems to be in private university. Jobs dn’t pay higher in bigger cities...only accommodations are lesser in smaller cities. I once went for an interview(job interview) and one Zimbabwe guy came all the way from Lublin for the same interview. I’m not saying you are right or wrong. Just trying to say stop giving out informations that aren’t facts Picking public universities You are the first person saying people should avoid bigger cities 2 Likes |

I honestly appreciate your input on this, truly I do but why didn't you help us with more info on your journey when you started and how the process was like. This thread suffers a dearth of experiences that would have made it fuller and more informative because of people like you. Even if you didn't get much help from here during your journey you could have at least helped upcoming students with your wealth of experience. Again, I don't mean to offend and I hope you both get the gist of my post. Cc:wizzdy Olivier6ix: 2 Likes |

Olivier6ix:like I said if you are not so rich, I've friends struggling with paying their rents in Warsaw as well as fees because it's expensive I've been to quite a lot of cities in Poland if not all the major cities, securing a resident permit in Warsaw you know how it is most people have had to pay agencies to help them out the rate of rejection is higher compared to other cities why is it so? Its a thing of choice I'm not forcing anyone to accept maybe I'll try to get my friend coming from Warsaw this weekend for a higher paying job with accommodation in that same so caller smaller city! When u realise u are paying too much fees a some private university is when u hear how much we pay in public schools. There are also better chances of getting permanent job in smaller cities for lack of competitions as for me I'm not living in a place for the language or the sake of its name. After all this is Poland if I didn't think of these difficulties with language and all I won't be here, where u also have more people who don't speak English even helps u in learning the language much more easier. 4 Likes |

Its not late Ameena schools are still giving out admission, if u are having problem with your school I can help you call them and do a follow up till you get the admission if you meet their requirements its usually not hard! I am not asking for money I would like to help because I didn't get such help when I was moving to Poland from Italy you can also try schools in Italy its not so complicated. 2 Likes |

wizzdy:bro!...what are you trying to say exactly?? Do you want people to go to smaller cities to go learn polish or what? People struggling to pay their rents in bigger cities Are you talking about the pandemic period when everyone was at home and couldn’t work? You are in which city?? My school is paying the same amount with public schools (collegium civitas) Give out facts bro not assumptions The residence permit thing, even if they dn’t give residence permit....did you tell these folks here that they gon stamp your passport till they approve the residence permit?? And the rent depends on your choice...one could stay in a flat or in a room(it depends on your choice)....there are 700zl rooms, hostels What exactly are you saying bro? Please dn’t confuse people here 3 Likes |
