I'd be busy tomorrow in a remote location, is it possible to place an order this night or tomorrow before the market opens?

How do I do that on Morgan. I do it on my other platform, IOFS.

Don't use price limit. You can place the order at market price.Market order do reflect at the exchange while limit order doesnt hence you place a limit order at pre-market time.

Note:If the order is a heavy one,you may end up buying at a higher price because your order is at best market price.

I suppose they are running from the new regulations from PENCOM. Pension industry is most likely going to change next year.

Just To Contribute To Ongoing Discussions on UACN
I saw some forum members discussing about UACN which price level to target for the stock. I take a long term look at the chart and from my interpretation, the value price for the stock (based on technical analysis lies between 5.20 & 6.

I briefly discussed this (and many more) in my Daily NSE Market Review posted on Youtube:

I suspected something.Either they made money in the fx market or there is an acquisition going on.

When I saw heavy cross deals at 2 few weeks ago,I didn't miss the stock at 1.70.

The stock will trade above #2 very soon but I won't get to that junction 'cos of my target exit price.

When a market order is placed before market opens, is there any rule (of thumb) to which price is taken for such orders. Especially if the spread is large.

No rule.only that your order will be filled immediately at any available price possibly the highest price the sellers are willing to sell. That is why you see some stock prices jump at market open and later stay at bidders range.

I am answering you all these because I have encountered all these experiences in trading especially when I place order before the market opens or trading from a remote place.

I don't use Morgan but I will make a suggestion.
Place your orders with your limits, adjust the number of days the orders are supposed to lapse from a day to at least two days.

MARKET UPDATE FOR OPENING OF 26 JUNE 2020

Market down on Thursday 9 gainers and 8 losers index closed at 24,625.24 compared with 24,654.99 for the previous trading day. The loss for the week is -0.81%, as at this morning. we expect a small bounce in the market today. However, overall this week goes to the bears. Wishing everyone happy weekend.

We need to diversify to International equities. The US market is fantastic and mind blowing; “INO” Inovio Pharmaceuticals, has already made a gain of over 3.3% as at this morning (after close of market yesterday). The company is expected to make some announcements soon that will sustain the trend base on the test the vaccine that is taking place in South Korea. Therefore, the trend is still our friend here. You need to continue your subscription as I believe the International stock market is the “DEAL”. I made a rough calculation of the value of the stock traded yesterday around 8.30 pm West Africa Time (market closes 9.30pm WA Time), it was worth $2.4Billion, also the "RobinHood day traders" cannot move this type of stock, the big funds are just scooping up this stock like mad.

For your research, just paper trade the list below for one or 2 weeks to decide if it is worth a trial. You can also follow up our twitter page for more updates.

The deal will not have any significant effect on the share prices of both companies as the consideration involve may not be up to #3 billion naira.

Aiico has already met the recapitalization target (AIICO has shareholder fund in excess of #25b) while FCMB will probably pay less than #3b to acquire 70% of AIICO stake.

No matter how juicy a business is, if the price is right I will sell. FCMB must have bought AIICO pension managers at a huge premium.

The market leader ie Stanbic IBTC pension has about N3 trillion under management, majority of the players have less than N400 billion under management as at December 2019

The purchase will affect their earning in the short run, but better returning in the rerun, how did you see it?

I don't have any problem with FCMB buying.

But why will AIICO sell-off a juicy business, does it mean they are not making profit from the Pensions business?

No sentiment in business. If I have a N30 million property and you want to buy the property back at N100 million, because it used to be your father's property. Your father sold the property 30 years ago in order to finance your education

I will definitely sell the property to you at the overvalued price and use the proceeds to buy 3 similar houses elsewhere
