Such kind of scenarios like South Africa and Equitorial Guinea happen when tiny minority control the source of that wealth - in South Africa it's the minerals - in EQ Guinea it's the Oil.

This is an excellent view of a Nairobi surbub. I am as Nigerian as can be. But I like Kenya. It's a politically stable country with a relatively stable economy and electricity supply.

This thread has become sth of a good resource material for people looking to do business or even settle in that country. A friend retired not long ago to reasonable comfort in Nairobi.

However the thread title is somewhat juvenile and the bickering so unnecessary. A title like Perspectives on Kenya would have been nice. I have a conference coming up in that country in 2yrs time and I am looking forward
