*sigh* backstreet rookie is not winning me with the humor at all, I liked the dance scene and I loved the sky castle scene but that was it, everything else fell flat, I mean they're even playing with saliva, urghh so disgusting. Saetbyul's character is still a hit for me, except for the fact that she's a homewrecker actively going for a guy who's in a relationship, even jo yi seo with all of her obsession didn't do that lol maybe cos she was able to threaten sae ro yi, anyway apart from the homewrecking bit, Saetbyul is pretty much awesome. I still don't like ji Chang wook's character, he's just a coward and a loser right now, you're dating someone for 2 years and the person is ashamed of you and won't introduce you to her family and you're just taking it, I was really hoping he would break up with her after seeing her having dinner with her family but nope, he decided to keep being a mumu, and it's not even as if he's crazy in love with the girl, he's been cheating on her emotionally since Saetbyul entered his life so what's the big deal. As for sunhwa, aigoo when will she ever play a non scummy girlfriend, she doesn't love jcw, she just wants to own him and the only reason she's telling her mom about him is cos she's threatened that Saetbyul will take her toy from her. I really really hope there's a redemption down the line for jcw's character cos this drama will just be a waste of time.

P.s : happy birthday to the reason God created the month of June, my Kang minhyuk and to the other people that escorted him ha ji won unni and Lee min ho my baby, I know you changed your name to avoid confusion with the other lmh but you'll always be Lee min ho to me

My (hopefully) unbiased opinion : after school's song is a simple song but it sounds like a Christmas song and I love Christmas songs so I love it, the beat somehow reminds me of Mariah Carey's all I want for Christmas is you.

Ft island's is a nice rock and roll. Hongki is a top vocalist. I love the rap bits. The end.

If I had to score both songs would get a 2.5/5

Happy birthday dearest Ha Ji Won! She shares the same birthday with my brother, I knew she isn't my favourite K-actress for no good reason

So I binge watched Scarlet heart from Thursday. I was ready to cry loads of tears but the tears didn't come until the last few episodes, I realised how a light and funny story gradually turned into a depressing one. Everybody was just dying left right and center, the princes whose faces were always almost filled with mischievous laughter gradually faded in a very sad way. I missed the first few episodes when I got to the last episode. My only consolation is that I thought of it as a dream
Overall, it is a good and depressing drama.

So I moved on almost immediately, someone who has the same enthusiasm with Secret Garden recommended Fight For My Way and I totally digged it non stop, great drama loaded with punchline dialogues, very relatable, I went through all the emotional stress with the characters. I recognized their pain, sorrows and joy. Beautifully executed, excellent castings, nothing was overly dragged, straight to the point. I loved the four casts. Don't get me started with the children casts, I looked forward to seeing them at the end of the first few episodes. Young Ae Ra is feisty and funny as hell. Sulhee is pretty. The chemistry has an unbreakable ionic bond, it isn't forced, its beautiful and heartwarming.

I think Kim Ji Won finally solidified her place in my top two K-actress with this drama. What a fine actress she is. HJW & KJW? What's with me and Ji Won?
This is my first time seeing the male lead in a drama and he is good, will watch out for him.

1. Seo jun young as ha Seung ri, the awesome house captain of the main lead's, he's a very good hyung lol his diamond jokes, stupid!

2. Hwang kwanghee as song Jong min aka Lee Hyun woo's best friend, although I think he was in love with lhw, he's character seemed totally gay, I'm pretty sure the only reason the drama wasn't upfront about it was because it's a 2012 drama, if it's a 2020 drama, his character would totally be gay

3. Kang ha neul as min Hyun jae aka Male lead's rival, although he turned out to be not so evil

4. Yoo min kyu as jo young man the house captain of the rival hostel lol, he seems brutal but is actually a loyal sweetheart

I am trying my possible best to disregard all the negative comments I am reading on Back street rookie. A lot of people are saying the same thing. Is it that bad? Remember his character was a stupid looser in the whole of Empress Ki but he grew to be adored by almost all. Maybe it's the same thing with his character in this drama, or I would like to think so.

Still not watching it till all episodes are aired.

I hope so, I didn't watch empress ki so I know nothing about his brand of loser there, but as at episode 4 of backstreet rookie, I can't stand his character

It is not that bad and I think people care more because it is JCW oppa. If it was someone else with less fame or expectation, the backlash would have been a lot less.

The thing is the drama is trying some kinda of humor that can be almost offensive or gross, it is cringey and just outright weird in some aspects. They make reference to a lot of other dramas even songsak from fiery priest was a cameo, sky castle and so on.

To me the drama is just not supposed to be taken seriously that is why I can still enjoy it, I am just watching for the fun of it and the cast. If you are trying to analyze and dissect everything and make sense of it all, then it becomes a painful headache.
