Earning Trading Capital With LMI. Real Or Not? by Shanin: 5:16pm On Jun 26, 2020 |
I've been interested in trading since 2014. For many years it was my hobby, but in 2019 I finally managet to get more or less profitable. Yet, with a small deposit on forex, that's very difficult ot make a living with trading, which is actually my dream. What LMI (full company name - liberty market investment) does is they offer to fund your account if you trade well enough and once you get the profit, you split it with LMI. Sounds rather fair, but I'm unsure forex trading is similar to futures trading (they fund futures traders only). Do you think futures trading is much more difficult than forex? And the second question is whether we can trust these guys and where can be the catch? |

Shanin:Futures trading is more professional, but that doesn't mean more difficult. You can expect to have less trading fees there and less slippages, especially if you choose to trade extra-liquid assets like ES (snp index). The catch can be that the conditions to get your account funded are impossible to complete. Like if they want you to be making 100% on a monthly basis. Read the rules and agreement carefully. |

Anayalv:Prop firms are all different. It's important to learn whether there is a real company behind so that you don't work with a no-name web-site that is not registered as a company in some reliable jurisdiction. Can't tell much about futures trading, but looks like the difference is the risks and potential profits. Futures trading assumes some built-in leverage that assumes you should work with rather little stop loss orders for every trade. SHould be good for daytrading. |

Kallantan:Thnx a lot for replies, everyone. Got the point about futures, sounds not too bad. I believe LMI conditions don't even allow overnight positions, so yeah, that's for daytrading purpose only. The company is registered in Canada, which is probably not as good as the USA, but good enough IMHO. |

Shanin:I looked over the conditions you must fulfill in your LMI practice. I liked the fact that the desired profit is not too much bigger than allowed drawdowns. That makes the mission possible to complete. |

Kallantan:Yeah, I thought so too. I guess I'll try the mini account in the nearest time. Just need to get the money to pay for the practice. In a meanwhile will register a demo parctice. The platform they use is unfamiliar, so it might take a little while to get used to it. |
