Having a standard data base system will only expose many corrupt practices in this country..... Take for instance, the IPPIS. Many agencies have refused to be part of the system to avoid a cut in pay. But the IPPIS is to allow the government to know how many civil servants that the FG is footing it's bills... Also, take the National ID for instance, with a link to the BVN. This has really exposed corrupt politicians having multiple accounts with starched money. But we need a standard data system. Either with a finger print for common criminal acts or to curtail corruption in this country. Might not be possible, after all.... 1 Like |

The problem of the Third World is organisation. If the whole of your economy is organised, formalized and taxed, you will be developed. 1 Like |

lawani: If we could only impress this on the minds of every Nigerian and have this replace the simpler and cruder concept of tribe and ethnicity as the overriding question that holds back Nigeria, then Nigeria will become that great power of our dreams. I would go so far to posit that the wholesale adoption of this mindset would be our development enabling Revolution, sticks and stones not required. 1 Like |

B3ACHSIDE: It is simplistic and lacking in-depth understanding of humankind to conclude that human beings will always identify with ethnicity. Humans can identify with most things, given the impetus. But setting that many faceted concept aside, how many independent states would your argument create from Nigeria and the rest of Africa, in you estimation? |
